Vornado Velocity 1R Personal Space Heater with 2 Heat Settings and Advanced Safety Features, Black

I bought this for my small greenhouse, to heat it in the wintertime. It works very well. It provides a fairly strong air circulation with warm air (2 heat settings). The air circulation is important because it reduces cold pockets that my occur on the other side of the room. This model is a nice white color, and it is also lower wattage, which I feel is a safer choice for a small greenhouse. The heater does not get real hot, and is not hot to the touch. Overall, if you want a good warm air circulator that is lower wattage (and less money spent on heating), this is an excellent choice.

I have owned four Vornado heaters/fans, in the last fourteen years. Vornado gives me the satisfaction I am looking for. Hot or Cold weather Vornado takes care of me.

Easy to carry, easy to use. Give off good amount of heat for its size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Velocity Personal Heater is a real "winner". It has multiple heat settings, as well as, a fan. The heat is not super hot, but enough to take the chill out of the air. It comes with an integrated handle which is a neat little feature. The settings are on top of the fan and are easily accessible. Just one light touch and the fan changes programs. The operator's booklet contains very good information about this fan and how to reset it, etc, if you were to need to. I'm very impressed with this unit and would definitely recommend it to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am always cold at work and my coworkers always tease me about it. I have a heater on year round when I'm there. The velocity 1R personal heater has filled all the wants/needs I've had in a heater. It keeps my desk area warm, but doesn't overpower the office so my coworkers don't complain. I will be buying a few more as backup if I need them!

I bought this when my previous Vornado small heater died after many years. This model is a little more powerful but noisier. I'm not sure I'm a fan of touch features. For instance, once you touch the “on” icon you can't then just turn it off. You have to touch again for fan only then touch again for off which, depending on how long the heating element has been on, will power down once it's cooled off. I would have preferred switches which are on the less powerful model.

I wish this heater had a variable temp/fan setting like it's big brother. I would readily pay more for this feature. Otherwise, this is a bit loud, size and power is good.

I like the automated features, but don't like the noise it makes until it warms up. My older personal Vornado heater fan runs much quieter.

I have vornado stand fans all over my house. But I'm so disappointed with this heater. It makes so much noise and nothing you do changes that. It's not the fan in it…the noise is vibration of the outside cover. I can't believe I paid the amount of money I did for this. And I followed all of the initial setup instructions and tested the fan…it started after I had already disposed of the box. Otherwise I would have returned it!

It does put out good heat, though. Overall, I would not recommend this product to anyone unless some style changes were made.
