Love the safety features as well as quick heat and easy to use.
Heats well, excellent size, thermostat and timer controlled.
I purchased this a few weeks ago. It heats up a room quickly via a steady current / column of heated air that in 20 minutes goes to every corner of the room. It's not as quiet as the V10 it's replaced. The noise however is not bad at all. It's a Grey noise and is soothing to have on in the background. Vornado has a excellent warranty which I have used for the last heater I had purchased so I decided to go again with them with this new model. It has a digital thermostat a timer and all the safety features too. I'm very pleased with this amazing heater & Vornado as a company.
Over the years we have had 4 fans and now three heaters. I highly recommend all your products. We are trying to use only heat pumps so this heater is in a room that doesn't have a vent. The room stays comfortably warm all day even when the weather is dank in NE
I purchased the heater to take the chill out of a small, unheated 120 sq ft enclosed porch and leave it on its lowest setting (60 degrees). It could easily heat a larger space. It's ideal and has excellent though very sensitive safety controls. The new control panel with timer is great improvement and is more visible. I would recommend a thermostat range from 50-80 degrees (rather than 60-90 degrees). I am very satisfied with this heater.
We bought this to replace an older Vornado heater that we use in our bathroom (that still works by the way) and discovered that this was not intended for use on a ground fault wiring system. The only other downside was this heater is much louder than our older model Vornado. Other than that the thermostat feature on this heater is much nicer and it heated the room much quicker than our old heater.
The heater is only good for a small room not for a big space
Bought about a month ago. Is digital so you have to tap the temp multiple times instead of just twisting a dial. Turns completely off if you move it and does not come back on (we learned that the hard way). Does produce warm even heat. We use it in our RV. When on heat mode and you lower the temp or turn it off, it blows (louder) in fan mode for 20 secs before it goes off. Irritating.
I had an older Vornado MVH for over 5 years, and it recently kicked the can. Vornado is great, I tossed it in the garbage but a rep still tried to help look into a warranty replacement after. The velocity 3R was my replacement - it looked to be the newest and best in their line up. I should have realized immediately that the flow path on this fan is much tighter than on others with a pretty small back suction area. This results in a fan that is surprisingly loud, not unbearable but you have to raise your voice a bit and it is just enough to be bothersome in a quiet living room. It performs well, but needs a more open flow path or something, I also wonder if the impeller is a higher RPM/smaller diameter. When you turn the unit off, it ramps up the fan and takes 20 seconds usually after normal use to cool down and shut off, which is surprisingly long and of course at max volume. I reached out to Vornado and replaced with an AVH10, which is spectacular. It's dead quiet at low, hardly a whisper on high, and shuts off in only 8 seconds. Cost difference was $10, highly recommend AVH10 for anyone looking for the latest and greatest large room Vornado. Also 5/5 Vornado customer service, but this model needs a re-design (or maybe just a bigger case).
We bought two of these heaters because we've had such great luck with our air purifiers from Vornado. Unfortunately these two heaters we received never warmed up. We had them both on the highest setting, full heat, followed all instructions, and yet these continually just blew out cold air. I will buy from Vornado again, but it won't be a heater.
