Vornado Velocity 5R Whole Room Heater White

They love it ! I have two of them already , they are fantastic !

I don't run my heating system in the winter because I spend most of my time in one room. I purchased the Velocity 5R to heat the room. I have used other heaters to heat the room, but nothing comes close to the efficiency of the Velocity 5R. On high, the room temperature can go up ten degrees in about twenty minutes. In the winter, the room temperature in the morning is around sixty degrees. Before getting out of bed, I use my remote control to turn on the heater. I've never been happier with a heater. And the icing on the cake is it comes with a five-year warranty. I purchased the 3R for my 87-year-old Mom for Christmas. She loves it! You can't go wrong with Vornado products.

I bought this to heat a small and sometimes coolish studio space. The area already had old electric wall heaters that could be used when needed, but I was worried about something catching on fire if too close. So I purchased the Vornado. I find that it warms the room quickly to whatever temp I set it at and I can place it in a safe area due to its portability. Probably uses less energy too. Yes, I would recommend.

Great Heating Fan and very safe, instantly turns off of moved and tipped slightly. I also appreciated the fact that it has two fan levels of control on heat alone! And one faster speed fan only without heat! As we use it in our RV and not unattended for extra cold mornings and the electricity is free a alternative to expensive propain at camp grounds. Good job, keep up the good work.. also like how quietly it runs noise is minamal...Thank You

I bought this as a gift to friends that have a new house. They have loved it as the various people in the house have different needs for how much warmth they need in winter. It has been a big hit in their household. This is the third time I have given gifts from your company and they all have been greatly used and appreciated.

I use this heater when I don't need / want to heat up my whole house. I also use it in my RV when camping. Several great things about this heater: it heats up a room nicely, it's fairly small and easy to put away in a corner or under a table, it's got a remote (yay!), it's fairly quiet, nice safety features, 2 levels of power + fan only, you can set the temp you want. It doesn't get 5 stars because there's no tilt to the fan so it just points straight ahead. Also, it's not quiet when it's on high power, tho low power is quiet enough to sleep with. Overall a good heater and I recommend it.

I've been a loyal Vornado customer for decades and unfortunately this is probably by least favorite product. The heat delivery is as advertised and warmer than other Vornado heaters I've owned. That said, one thing I've always appreciated about Vornado heaters is their relative quietness. This one is definitely not that. It's got a very distinct and loud fan noise, and especially so when it is set to high. If that's not a bother, you'll love this unit as it is small and stylish and puts out good heat, though if I had a do-over, I'd choose a different Vornado.

The heater has a feature that blows hot air into the room till the room reaches the desired temperature. Unfortunately it fan is loud. But that is not the main problem. The noise is sudden and jarring and loudest when it first kicks in. Forget about staying asleep each time the thermostat initiates the next heat up routine. Is this a flaw of the design or of my unit or of the user interface? Other than that it heats well and heats up a room with warm air. It is pleasing to look at and to touch. But oh the noise! If you get turned on by the sound of commercial jets thrusting down the runway you will love this.

I returned it. Didn't have the output of heat I expected from a Vornado product. Vornado is great to work with on returns and I would still buy their “Made in the USA” products!

The controls are very difficult to operate, and they don't always do what one would expect. When I called for help, I was instructed to reset the unit by punching a button on the bottom 10 times, an instruction that appears nowhere in the printed material that came with the unit. I was also instructed to shut it off by pulling the plug from the wall socket, which contradicts the instructions, which say the unit needs to cool down before stopping. Since the only way to get it to shut off is to pull the plug, I assume it will wear out sooner than it should. So, while it does warm the room adequately (although not to the temperature indicated on the unit), I'm not happy with it.
