Vornado VMH500 Space Heater 2 Setting Whole Room Vortex Auto Timer Metal, White

This is by far the best space heater I've owned when it comes to consistently heating a closed room. While it doesn't put out extremely hot air it successfully distributes it through the whole room and actually keeps the room at the set temperature. I own two of these and have had the first one for over 5 years with minimal issues. The only downside is the LED display for temperature can be very bright in a dark room. 10 out of 10 space heater

This amazingly uncomplicated efficient AND effective space heater is exactly what I needed to warm up our master bedroom which serves as my wife's office during the day. On really cold nights my wife is always cold in our bedroom because it is the furthest point from the heater and along a north wall. I have owned a basic fan from Vornado for years, it is small, but mighty. Perfect floor workout room fan. Went to thier website looking for a “space heater” without the large heating element and a thermostat so it would shut itself off. This unit is awesome, white color is stylist and not an eyesore with décor, cool to the touch, and even has a remote. It also truly heats up a room and maintains the temperature, as described. Highly recommend. This is the second review I have ever written. I read them all the time, felt like it was time for me to start sharing as well.

Excellent quality, questionable remote? I bought a number of Vornado heaters and fans over the years. They are very consistent, always hitting excellent build quality, and delivering on the promises of effective distributed heat. It's no different, as the enclosure is attractive and excellently made, and it's definitely cool to the touch. I was excited about the remote, as I use this for my garage office, so that I could turn it on through the window. The remote works… But only a range of about 2 feet. I thought this might be the battery so changed out the battery for a new one. alas, that did not help things. It's not worth returning it over, but is a shame.

I bought this heater based upon Consumer Reports recommendation for the 600 series but I couldn't find the 600. The only difference between the 500 and 600 is the casing[check out Vornado web page]. I use it to warm up a weak insulated moderate-sized north-facing bathroom. I love the safety features and the temp adjustments. I have it placed upon a small table. I have h clocked a 10 degree temp rise in about 20 minutes. The remote control must be in Eyesight of the heater—not too practical for a bathroom, but would be great for a bedroom, or 10x15 room

I was worried that this model Vornado wouldn't be as good as the old one that I used for many years, but for the most part it's better: smaller, quieter and well designed. I initially replaced my old one with a Vornado that I thought was metal but turned out to be plastic. It gave off an odor when I plugged it in and I was worried for the small parrot I own - birds are extremely sensitive to air quality. I ordered this all metal VMH500 and it's a bit smaller than the original and it's extremely quiet. My only little complaint is that my original Vornado showed me both the temperature setting of the heater and the actual temperature of the room, while this new one shows your desired temp setting very briefly and then goes back to showing only the room's actual temperature. I feel like this heater is safe - I checked the cord and plug for any warmth/heat and they're fine. I read the safety instructions and checked the rest of the heater as it advised and all was fine (fire is a huge fear of mine). Anyway, this heater quickly warms the whole bedroom and it's quiet and safe, and safe for my bird.

After being beat up by the delivery service the heater came through unscathed. It is working perfectly. I use it to heat our large living room. I like the remote that lets me set temp and run time

I love this heater for my large living area. It keeps the room warm and toasty without kicking on the furnace or upping the thermostat for the rest of the house. My only gripe is that it's hit or miss with the remote. If you offer a 5 year warranty you would think the remote would work better.

I got this heater because of all of the reviews about how great it heated large rooms, one said it heated their open plan dining room/living room, another a garage etc. I got mine today and it has been on for 3 hours and the temp in the room has only gone up 4 degrees. I have it in my bedroom which is about 15 - 20 square foot, I cant tell it is even on. Wondering how long it took to heat the garage and large room. Two days?
