VTech CS6829-2 DECT 6.0 Dual Handset Cordless Answering System

I have been a VTech dual Handset Cordless Answering System user for years. My mother had another brand of telephone and the push buttons ceased to work and the handset died. I decided to purchase this set for my mother as I loved the ease of set-up and use. The answering machine beeps when there is a message on it - her other one didn't. Many times she forgot to look to see if she had any messages. I placed one phone in her living room and one in her bedroom so if she needed help, she had a phone right there to call out on. She really likes the phone and I am glad I got it for her.

THIS PHONE HAS MANY FEATURES THAT ARE COMPARIBLE TO OTHER PHONES. BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS THE QUALITY AND PRICE IS SO MUCH BETTER THEN OTHER COMPETITIVE NAME BRANDS. HAS MANY RING TONES TO CHOOSE FROM AND ALL FEATURES ARE EASY TO OPERATE AND USE FOR ANY ONE YOUNG OR OLD. A GREAT PHONE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS NOT REAL PHONE SAVEY AND THAT NEEDS EASY INSTRUCTIONS TO LEARN HOW TO USE THE PHONE. A MUST HAVE PHONE WHEN YOUR OLD RELIABLE PHONE HAS WORN OUT AND YOU NEED A REPLACEMENT THAT GIVES YOU MORE FOR LESS MONEY.

When my portable home phone went out I decided this time I wanted a dual set with an answering machine built in. Now, when one phone needs charging, the second phone is ready to go. My favorite is the answering machine set-up. When I walk in I do not have to listen to an annoying "beep, beep" to tell me I have a message. The caller ID on the phone tells me if I have a message and how many.

This was a great buy and the product is super easy to set up. It has all the bells and whistles that I needed in a landline. I would recommend this to anyone.

This was a gift for my auntie, however I have had v-ech phones in the past for myself, and find them to be very good. I would recommend them to anyone. Great Purchase!

This is my second time buying the dual handset VTech cordless phones, and the only reason I replaced my first set is because they needed new batteries and, after 10 years, that battery style is not available. Other than that, these phones work great, and, obviously, outlast the availability of their batteries. The sound is great, they contain an answering system, work with Caller ID, and are easy to use.

Everything seems to work Great. Only complaint, volume on answering machine not loud enough. Hard to listen to messages. Thank goodness you can play them on handset, can hear them a little better that way.

It works fine, sometimes I feel there is static on the line. Not sure if that is the phone or something else.

I worked with thier customer service/tech support and basically they had me reset and reset the phone until I gave up and returned the product to walmart - on the plus side it works very well with Magic Jack which is important to me because I save a lot of money using Magic Jack

I opened the package and didn't find the battery packs for the phones. Returned the item to WalMart for credit.
