VTech Happy Lights Bear

Christmas gift for 13 month old granddaughter. She loved it! It makes noise and lights up. However, it is not very loud and the lights are not overly early bright, so it is not annoying to the adults. She played with it the entire time we were there. It is small enough for her to easily carry around. Another granddaughter, in a different family, has the same bear and she loves hers, also. Very happy with it,

This item was purchased for my niece whom was 3mos old....she really enjoyed the lights and the sounds that this bear made. The excitement that I experience when I showed it to her was outstanding. I would do it again just for the beautiful reaction.

My son is almost 6 months old and he likes this bear pretty well. It is kind of loud so he's not too sure about it. He smiles at it and hugs it but hasn't figured out how to push the buttons on his own yet. The one negative I'd say is that there is no on/off switch so if you don't want to wake your baby up by accidentally setting this thing off I'd put it up somewhere when they're asleep. I think my son will grow to like this toy more as he gets older, it's very cute and I think it will become a favorite.

I purchased this "Happy Bear" for my Grandson whom I babysit three days a week. I hung it in his crib & it is used as a daytime toy. At night I just flip it to the outside of the crib because if he accidently hits the on/off button it will turn on & wake him up. This is his favorite toy! The first thing to do is to press the heart in the center of the bear's chest - that turns it on/off. Then under the heart there are three buttons to press - #'s 1, 2, & 3. Press #1 first & it says I'm hungry - yum, yum, yum. Then press #2 - I'm Happy! Then press #3 - I'm Sleepy - & it yawns. Then go through the number's again, 1-3 & it counts from 1-3. Finally go through the #'s once more & it plays a different melody of soft music for each #. The bear also lights up to the music. My Grandson is five months now & whenever he comes over we play with this bear for about 15min., three times a day & when played in order, he looks to me to do certain things related to what the bear says. Unbelievable that babies have such a great memory at such a very young age. The key is consistancy & repetativeness. This Happy Bear is amazing & at such a very low price you can not go wrong! Enjoy with your baby & you will be astonished!

When you first turn the toy on - you can't help but fall in love with the song the bears sings in his cute voice: "I am a bear - a happy bear, a hungry bear, a sleepy bear, I am a bear - a friendly bear, won't you play with me!" And I love watching my daughters face light up with a big smile! It has 3 buttons for happy, hungry and sleepy; the bear also counts to 3, plays music and says that he "Loves you". It's a great toy to my opinion because kids love the bears voice. Glad I bought it!

very happy with only problem they forgot to put cover to batteries on it. I hope you get this message and send me a new one. for my 5 month old granddaughter.

I have a 7 month old niece who got one of these from my mom (her grandma). Her mom keeps it on the coffee table most of the time to keep it out of the way and my niece will pull herself up on the coffee table to grab it. When it is on the floor it is the first thing she crawls to. Now she is only 7 months old so any toy is probably her favorite toy, but she seems to really enjoy this little bear :)

This little toy is a good value. It has bright lights, that do grab the babies attention. The sound is loud and clear. The brand name is what caught my attention with this product. If you have a little one to buy for this is the perfect gift that is reasonably priced.

Very cute little bear but smaller than I thought it would be...didn't check out the dimensions when I ordered it. Still it is worth the price.

i bought this for my daughter. i wish i would have thought it through. it may be nice and soft fabric but my god it is HARD plastic for most of its body. i wont let my baby hold it because i dont want to risk her dropping it on her head and spending the next half hr screaming. also my god it is ANNOYING. the songs are so annoying. the only good thing about it for my baby was the lights. she loves watching lights and that would help calm her down and get her attention(which was good for diaper changes...as long as someone was there to hold it for you)
