It's not a cheap thin hose with cheap thin brass ,this will hold up to the job needed . It's strong and sturdy .

To start out, I'm not using the 12” hoses. They seem pretty sturdy tho. I have no idea of the quality of the ends or if they leak. I ordered this strictly for the bulkhead fittings to daisy chain 55 gallon barrels into my gravity fed water catchment system. The bulkhead fitting seems a little lightweight. It's machined pretty thin, so take care not to snap it in the tightening process during installation. I guess my only complaint is the length of the threaded fitting. It may work a little better on 5 gallon buckets or a barrel with walls that are a little thinner, but for the 55 gallon plastic barrels I'm using, by the time I got the rubber washers in place and the retaining nut installed, there's not enough thread left to seat the hose end, causing it to leak. I had to add extra rubber washers in the hose end for it to seat. As it was, the rotating collar on the hose was hitting the locking nut on the bulkhead before the threaded pipe was seating against the rubber washer in the hose, causing it the leak like a sieve. The extra washers in the hose did the trick, tho. If the threaded part of the bulkhead was just 1/4” longer it would be perfect for 55 gallon barrels. Regardless, I got everything plumbed in and nothing is leaking as of yet. It's a decent little bulkhead, but just be aware, if your barrel wall is 1/4” thick, go grab some extra rubber water hose washers or you're gonna have a severe leak.
