Very powerful heat gun.

Dan78 April 2, 2026

I purchased this heat gun to break the OEM green tight bond on my shotgun. I was afraid that it wouldn't heat up the metal parts enough as other have had to resort to using MAP torches for the same project. To my surprise, the highest setting of 1300°F got the parts hot enough in just 15 minutes and the parts came apart without giving me a fight. No damage to the metal finish and the final outcome was perfect! The heat gun paid for itself on this single project by saving me from having to go to a gunsmith. The cool down mode and hands free stand feature made me feel very confident in the safety of use afterwards. This will no doubt come in very handy for many more future home improvement projects.

I've used several brands of heat guns and Wagner brand offers superior quality, safety, features, and reliability in the professional and hobbyist realm. I trust Wagner with my equipment and quality needs and wants. The cool down cycle and self-stand feature with the digital display are industry leaders.

Simple to use and got the job done!

TandT2025 February 27, 2025

Bought the Wagner to use on golf club grip replacement. The grip tape on the club was really sticky as due to the age of the club. The heat from the Furno700 made the process a lot easier.

Wagner Furno 700 Heat Gun

Richard The Lionhearted February 28, 2018

The Furno 700 is one of those tools that you only buy once or twice in a lifetime. This model is quite simply outstanding. Its adjustability and high output make it easy to peel paint or remove stuborn labels. More importantly, at least for me and my wife (an artist) its spreader nozel (or whatever the correct term is) helps dry her paintings. A time and labor saver. Handy Tool

TGW0202 February 25, 2018

I have only had this Wagner Furni heat gun for a month but have used it several times since receiving it in the mail. I have used it to quickly dry paint on my children's pinewood derby cars, remove caulk around a shower, removing stickers off of glass jars. It comes with two tip accessories and the instructions are clear on settings and tips for various jobs. This thing heats up fast so that you can get the job done quickly. After looking on-line there are so many other uses and Wagner actually has many short videos showing what setting to put the gun on and how to complete many different projects. The gun is not too heavy so i feel anyone should be able to use it. Great product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Old paint and finish just melts away!

Stevietclw April 1, 2018

I got the Wagner Furno700 because I was sick of trying to get the old paint and finish off of an old door. I tried stripper, and besides giving me a huge headache from the smell, it just didn't do a very good job, and was a mess. So I tried the Furno700, and wow...I couldn't believe how fast and easy it was...the old stuff just about melted right off. No mess, no stink, no chemicals eating me skin. It's the best tool for this type of job. I will never use stripper again. Thinking about tackling my kitchen cabinets next! Thanks, Wagner! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is no hair dryer !!!

Country Boy February 21, 2018

Be advised this unit is no hair dryer- it puts out some serious heat ! So much improved over my older unit that I donated my previous working heat gun to someone less fortunate. What a delight to have a stand that actually works built directly onto the heat gun. In addition the side bars allow the gun to be laid on its side without burning the table, I always had trouble in “where do I put this down without burning the table” This model solves the dilemma of having to find a piece of metal to lay the heat gun on top of. The digital display is a great addition and I can finally control the temperature output so as not to damage the item being worked on. The readout is accurate as I checked it with a non contact thermometer to verify accuracy. The ergonomics of the Wagner Furno 700 is spot on and much easier to hold and direct the heat than other base models . I also like the fact that the power cord can be removed for safety. During the cold snap this winter I was able to thaw out an outside hose bib in just a few minutes. Thanks Wagner ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Much Improved

Ccsvolsfan February 21, 2018

This heat gun is light years better than my twenty year+ old gun. The digital controls for heat temperature, fan speed, auto cool down and ergonomic design make this a must have product. It would be a plus if all four tips were included in the box. Also I would pay on the front end to have the case included. This should be the best and last heat gun you ever need to buy! Multipurpose

TrevinKovahl May 16, 2020

When I am not using this as a tool. I am using it to cook. It sits aimed up, and with a rack to sit my pot or pan on, it is well suited. I know this is not per its design. But given its temperature controls. I am just saying. Good for making lunch on the work site.

High heat capacity and easy to use

PrompCritical March 13, 2018

I used the Furno700 on four projects. The first was to heat the interior of my truck (not really a project but worked great). The next morning after an ice storm I was running late and had just received the Furno700. I ran an extension cord to my truck and sat with the Furno700 on high heat but kept at a distance in the center of my truck. After about 5 minutes it warmed the windows enough to get the ice melting. I took it back in the garage to allow cooldown. Meanwhile the ice just wiped off the glass. Nice. Another project was refinishing shelves for my wet bar. The Furno700 bubbled up the paint nicely at about 60-70% power. A simple scrape peeled up the paint with no problem. Care was taken not to dwell to long on one spot as this heat gun can put out enough heat to scorch the wood. I also used the Furno700 on high heat to warm up vinyl floor sheet for removal. Being on concrete it tended to act like a heat sink but the Furno700 overcame the effect making the sheet very pliable and easy to get under with a floor scraper to work up the sheet. The sheet was able to come off in one piece which makes for easier cleanup. The paper backing remnant would start to burn with the Furno700 and cause smoke. I switched to a Wagner steamer (like you would use for steaming off wallpaper). That got the paper and adhesive up nicely. I then used the Furno700 to fast dry the concrete. The Furno700 was also useful in getting fiberglass epoxy off a concrete garage floor with high heat and high blower. The Furno700 quickly melted/hardened the epoxy into a hard substance easily scraped off the smooth concrete. The other project was large production heat shrink on wiring. I shaped the blade attachment into an L shape and set the Furno700 facing up as the handle and case are shaped to allow it set on a flat surface. I set the Furno700 on a low setting around 650 and medium blower speed. The hands free setup of the Furno700 allowed ease of use when heat shrinking the insulation. The Furno700 was also light and easy to use on a ladder when heat shrinking over coaxial antenna wire on a radio tower (with extension cord of course). The case shape made it easy to set the Furno700 into the tower structure. Light weight with a multitude of blower and heat settings make the Furno700 very useful in many applications. Run time so far is approximately 100 hours with no discoloration and appears to be running like new. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
