Wahl Cordless Beard Trimmer w/Ear/Nose/Brow Trimmer

This was my first attempt at growing a beard and I find that an unkempt appearance is not very satisfying. By using this product, my beard looks much better and I've felt that it is much easier to maintain than I expected.

The beard trimmer works very well and so does the ear/nose trimmer EXCEPT that the ear/nose trimmer really only worked well for me on the nose and not the ears. I still do not believe that this product can be beat by any other product for quality and price. The ONLY pitfall is that the instruction manual fails to mention whether or not the oil (included) is supposed to be applied to the blade for the inital trimming or just one month later and then once each month thereafter...I applied it before the first use- just to be safe- and it ran just fine and didn't seem over lubricated. I will re-oil it every month as recommended. I used to have an expensive rechargeable Norelco beard trimmer- NEVER AGAIN. One day after about 4 years it just quit. and I didn't use it a lot. I've had several Wahl trimmers and they usually have lasted just as long and cost fractions less. And if you use rechargeable AA batteries then it will end up costing you even less to run. Nice and Sharp, and does a beter job than the previous battery trimmers I have had. I did note one review saying that it was only for very short beards - it is true the "combs" are for very short beards, BUT the adjustable guide works well for longer lengths, and is equivalent to the previous beard timmers I have used. It stays in place too, which was a problem I had with a previous trimmer.

I read the product information and liked what I saw. Specifically, it isn't rechargeable. Instead, it used AA batteries for the main unit; AAA for the nose trimmer. While still new for me, it arrived in good condition and within their projected time; I opted for their free shipping. I also read reviews with some expressing some concern. However, I felt it exceeded all of my expectations, starting with an offer to return to any WalMart store instead of having to box it up and ship it back should I be dissatisfied. However, I was VERY pleased with it. For the price offered, I almost felt it might have been too good to be true. However, I have nothing but praise for its performance. Instructions provide good advice on useage, such as direction of trimming, how to identify and choose attachments and so forth.

I bought this for my 19 year old son. My husband has one just like it that he's had for several years and he loves it. My son kept wanting to borrow my husband's so we got him one of his own. It's a fantastic item and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

If you want a beard that is really tight...this is the trimmer for you. If you like it a little longer, then look elswhere. The longest attachment that they make for this trimmer is maybe 1/4 inch at best. The trimmer itself seems to be good quality.

I purchased this to replace my other Wahl beard trimmer (that I left at my parents house this summer). I'd have to say spend the extra few dollars to get the other one (Walmart # 000268813). This one gets too hot to use very fast, and it is simply terrible at trimming a beard. I do have a somewhat thick beard, and I usually grow it out for a few weeks before I trim it up, but this just doesn't cut it (pardon the pun). Spend the extra 4-8 dollars to get the other one - It feels, looks, and performs much nicer than this one. Plus it is rechargeable, it does not require batteries like this one.

I spent more money on batteries then the trimmer cost!! The compartment that holds the AA batteries for the trimmer is to SMALL for the batteries!! Bought 3 different brand of batteries hoping one brand was a little smaller in size, but noooooo luck.

I am going to return this product and get a better quality product . This Wahl is made very poorly . I had bought a similar wahl for my husband a couple of yrs ago from Walmart and it was a great product it looked just like this one exactly but this one was not the same. But It looked the same on line. I thought the price was to good to be true and I was right... I do not mind paying more for a product I just want the product to be well made . My fault because it looked just like the one I had bought a couple of yrs ago. I am going to look for the other one. Elizabeth

Brand name, color, and extra pieces are the only perks, which make this flimsy unit different from similarly low-quality dollar store items. There is no neat place to keep those extra pieces, and you supply your own batteries. It would be better to find an excellent pair of metal scissors, and pass them down.
