Wahl Lithium Ion All-in-One Beard Trimmer for Men - Black/ Silver Model 9888-600

I bought a less expensive Wahl trimmer recently and was disappointed in that one. My husband, who has Parkinsons had an older model of this same Wahl beard trimmer before so we were delighted to find it again. This model's blades seem sharper and gives more precision trimming which is an imperative. Even the old AC wall adapter fit and the Lithum Ion recharge is a must. Haven't tried the other attachmennts yet so the 3 stars. With so many Walh models to compare, for the money, go ahead and upgrade.

The best clipper I have ever owned. It does it all don't hesitate to buy this one is super and can do anything from trim your nose to shaver to hair cut. I love it

. I had an earlier model by Wahl that was much the same; the interchangeable cutters and combs fit either one, in fact. Best feature, I found, is the addition of a wider trimmer head that does much better on my moustache and hairline on my neck. Only needed replacement because I had damaged the main trimmer head on the old one through neglect (not oiling), and being too rough when attaching the plastic combs over the trimmer head; you can break a trimmer "tooth" if you do this with the motor running, and you'll likeley chew up the plastic comb to some extent. Don't be afraid to buy it. Wahl makes good stuff. Takes only a short time to re-charge, once you've exhausted the battery. Lithium-Ion technology assures a long-lasting charge, too. Dot com buying with warehouse to store will save you substantially. If there's a weak point at all, it is the storage tray for the device and all the attachments. Getting them all in place was a challenge that I soon gave up on, (as with the older model, too) and elected instead to put everything in a simple tray that keeps it all at the ready. Trying to use the provided tray is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 on "ease of use". :)

This has more power than I thought it would have. It took me a little bit to figure out how to change the heads, could be better, or maybe it was just me. I'm a retired barber, I can't believe all the things you can do with this little machine. I could actually do haircuts and shaves, beard trims , etc I highly recommend this trimmer for anyone who wants good grooming.

Attaching the different trimmer heads is a bit tricky. Needs a smaller shaver head for detailing without leaving so much stubble. There is a misprint in the instructions that says all the listed heads will work with this trimmer but when I tried to order the Detail Shaver #59307, I was informed by customer service that it was a mistake in the directions & it wouldn't work with this trimmer. Everything seems to work as advertised.

It's okay but there are a couple of things I don't care for. No carrying case. When you throw the packaging away you're left with a bunch of loose accessories. No charging indicator. Nothing to indicate when it's charging or if it's fully charged. It works but when it comes time to replace it I'm going to look for something else.

I've had a few different brands, last one being a wahl which worked great until it got dull.. bought this one and sure it charges fast but that's only to compensate how many times you have to go back over the same area to get an even trim. Overall, waste of time and money. Would not recommend

This kit doesn't come with a carrying case, which other models offer. Also, the attachments are very difficult to get on and off. They also have a strange shape to them that makes shaving beards difficult. The brand is very good, but this particular model is not.

Battery does not hold a charge. Attachments are nice but no instructions how to change them- I figured it out. I like the set up though. May try again and hope battery issue was a fluke.

There are no instructions on how to change the head attachment and no carrying case. There are several videos on YouTube that together equal more than *one million* views on how to change the head attachment. No charging indicator. The attachments come in a large plastic tray the same size as the box, so good luck traveling with them. Overall it's frustrating on several fronts.
