Appreciate that these are sharp so that it makes quick work of a task for a cat who doesn't like to be held - and especially doesn't like to be held to do a task to which he didn't agree. Have used only twice and find them easy to use.
Best clippers I've ever purchased. Sharp, safe, small enough for my Frenchie. Doesn't hurt or crush their nails. Neat, even, clean trim. Easy to handle, lightweight. Definitely would recommend.
We had Wahl dog clippers but they wouldn't open far enough for our German shepherd. I ordered these online during the pandemic and they are much better than our old Wahl dog nail clippers and at a great price too. They do open wider than the old ones.
My puppy is 8 weeks old, I used it on him and it cuts well... I don't know if it'll still cut as well when his nails get bigger, but it does a great job now. I like these better than the other kinds, these are just like garden clippers, basically.
Concerned that the clippers couldn't cut through the thick nails without pinching. There was no problem at all. My dog didn't even flinch or pull away and cutting her nails was like wrestling a small bear( she is a doxie). Will buy again .
The handle is comfortable and ergonomic. The clipper part is quite large for a cat. I have not decided if I will try it and keep it or return it for what seems like another more cat nail/claw appropriate size.
The blades on the clippers were not smooth. When I tried to use them, the blades snagged on a protrusion at the midway point until closure. When the blades snagged, the resulting clicking sound scared the cats. The cats jerked their paws away, which made clipping claws more dangerous. If the blades had been sharpened to a smooth edge, these clippers would have been superb.
It is too loud and dull, very disappointed. much worse than my old one. I wanted to return it but I returned a few other items in recent. so I just to keep it. Sorry, but I am not recommend it.
Don't know if I got a dud or what but these things don't cut. They mash the nail. Always appreciated this brand but no more. Dropped the ball on these!
The size of the clipper is way too large for the claws of cat. It's difficult to position correctly on the tiny claws and could be dangerous for your pet. It should work for most of the dogs but not cats.
