I have only used this once so far and have not tried out the battery longevity but the clippers works as well as the corded version. I use them every week to cut my hair and really love how much better they work than my old clippers.
The cordless magic clip is a great compliment to my cordless 5 star senior detailer. They are quiet and lite and help take my haircuts to the next level. I definitely will be purchasing them again when the time comes.
I've owned Wahl clippers in the past, but they were the home use models. I didn't like how they snagged on my hair all the time, they just seemed to lack the power to get the job done. So, I decided to upgrade to a PRO use clipper, and I chose the Wahl Magic Clip, and I am so glad that I did. The Wahl Magic Clip uses a rotary motor, so a different design then your typical electromagnetic. It does come with a taper lever like many Wahl clippers, but this model uses a stagger tooth blade. This is the recent upgraded model that comes with the 5v battery system for the claimed 100-minute runtime. I like the fact that the clipper comes with a separated charger adapter, it is a high efficiency 2-amp output charger, that can both charge the clippers, or, allow you to operate the clippers with the cord attached! This particular kit comes with the standard guide combs, a hair comb, bottle of oil, and the operators manual. I felt that the standard guide combs were OK, but they did have some flex in them, and I didn't feel like they were quality, I would have proffered if the premium guides came with the kit. So I purchased the premium guide combs, and thats what I use instead of the standard ones. Unlike my old clippers, the Magic Clips allows me to cut through my thick and course wiry hair like butter. And also unlike my old clippers, the Magic Clips do not allow hair to stay and clog the blade, it gets rid of the hair. The rotary motor is certainly louder then the electromagnetic motors, but the noise isn't that bad. I am extremely happy with my Wahl Magic Clip, especially since I upgraded to the premium guide combs, that secure better with metal clips, and are more durable. Also, get yourself a better clipper cleaning brush, the one that comes in the kit is OK but not the best either. Also, for clarification, I purchased this clipper for home use, this just demonstrates the quality that I wanted, and how much I was willing to spend to get said quality. 5-STARS!
I love this product, it is the second time I have bought it and it is perfect for my work, everyone should have one.
I shave my head every week with a pair of trimmers and I've tried a few different clippers. I finally bought Cordless Magic Clip and it's such a huge upgrade from everything else. The battery lasts a long time, it works when it's plugged in, it's powerful and it's SO MUCH lighter than I thought it would be. 100% recommend
These clippers are amazing cuts hair smoothly and makes it easier
The clipper is great and I'd give it 5 stars, but I'm underwhelmed by the cheap guards that come with this premium product. This is replacing a 10 year old pair of Wahl Elite Pro clippers that retail for half as much, those clippers come with premium guards in a product that costs half of what the magic clip cordless does. Happy to keep my old guards and toss the new ones in the garbage.
I ordered a cordless, and I was sent one with a cord! And not even close to what the picture showed. This seems to happen a lot when ordering online from walmart!
I purchased these in March, but have only been using them since April. The battery has completely given out. It won't charge and it won't turn on. The light didn't even blink to let me know the battery was low. Worked fine one minute and completely stopped when I tried to use them for my next haircut.
Pulls short beard hair badly when cutting it twice a week with a 1/16" guide. Unacceptable for $150 "professional" clippers. My old dying cheap corded clippers worked better. I was able to return it used for a full refund though so at least Wahl is a good seller.
