It was. better then I through it's perfect!
No need to 'zero-gap' the blade – it cuts so close out of box. Smooth motor and small. Exactly what I was hoping it to be. So much better than the Andis T-Outliner I've been using for years.
great product
Im 27, black and my hairline receded. After two (2) uses i think this is the best detailer i have ever had. I havent zero gapped it yet but it cuts really well and low. It doesnt overheat too fast either and is so small compared to Andis which i used in the past and which overheated quickly. I love it so far and i think i might get the vanish shaver to go with it later for a closer trim. I even got a compliment from a woman yesterday about she not seeing a hair on my head though i trimmed to days prior. Its a good trimmer and im glad i got it. I dont have to go to barbers anymore and still do a awesome job trimmer my head and lining up my beard. also it isnt that loud
Exactly what I was looking for. If you're looking for a solid detailer that will do exactly what you need it to everyone, look no further
Gave this to my grandson who is a barber. He has used this product before and it is his go to Detailer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I love this trimmer. This is the only trimmer I've been using for years The only downsides. 1) I do close to 20 mens cuts a day, I like to be able to use hooks to store my clippers and trimmers I have yet to be able to find a hook length that doesn't rub an opening in the cord. 2) this product will last for years, although I have tried on many occasions to change the blades, and it's nearly impossible, at least for me and everyone I've encountered.
cuts odd random angled neck hairs more effectively on the 1st pass and comfortably out of the box better than my Andis outliner that I 0 gapped. that may change if I re-gap from factory settings though... it's pretty close to 0 out of the box. the rotary motor is light and adequate, and I was able to trim head hairs without bog down on 1st use and runs pretty cool temp'd but definitely feels weaker than magnetic motors. It's small in the hand than say an Andis so if you can maneuver okay with a more closed grip than no worries.
I like them. they just will overheat after a while. have to be careful with cleaning them. I have used several pairs and some motors are better than others. it really is hit or miss
