I am a Type 1 diabetic (not to be confused with Type 2 diabetes, which is due to poor diet, lack of exercise, obesity). I use these syrups because they are carb-free, which reduces my amount of insulin needed. I make chia pudding with caramel syrup, carb-free frozen cheesecake with blueberry syrup, hot chocolate with caramel syrup and carb-free cocoa power. Each one adds a blast of flavor to whatever I'm eating. I have not had bariatric surgery. I use these syrups so that I don't have to inject more insulin. These syrups are carb-free.
Omg! Life altering for dieters...and reformed eaters! I won my body back and Walden's products help me keep my body the way I like it! Great flavors without the guilt or anything else! Just this AM I cooked plantains with cinnamon and Walden's walnut maple syrup...so good, I didn't miss the pancake or the average syrup with its 100 calories and 25 carbs!! Never going back!
Excellent flavors you won't regret to try all of them. I'm a diabetic my doctor advice me to try it and I did won't increase my sugar level at all..........I guaranty 😀!!!!!!
I just purchased this, as I have been using another brand. Looking forward to purchasing other flavors! However, responding to previous reviews, Type 2 diabetes is NOT just a condition that pertains to those that have a poor diet / that are obese/ or lack exercise!!! Reviews should be limited to these products and not used as a gesture of appreciation insults towards others, which I find very offensive!
Okay so.....I had already written off all sorts of foods that I was never going to be able to eat again. Caramel in any consistency was definitely one of them. This stuff literally tastes like heaven in a bottle. If you like sweets and are looking for a nice topping on something like sugar free ice cream (cause that stuff is nasty by itself), this is the product for you!!
I have bought several of the Walden Farms products before and I love the sweet ones, especially. I like to add them to a protein shake made largely out of egg whites and some flavoring extracts, with cashew milk, or sometimes with a little fruit and a little extra protein powder. Or I like to drizzle something like the caramel sauce over plain nonfat Greek yogurt.
I loved this syrup but the price will hold me back from ordering very often. The shipping really amps it up. I might order more often if there was a limit to the shipping costs in exchange for a bulk order. It confuses me why this is considered a bariatric product. Why not just a straight weight loss item or anyone who wants to limit their sugar intake which is a lot of people these days? Is there a reason for this?.
I purchased the chocolate syrup and the chocolate dip. Both taste exactly the same and both are foul. It's very thin and watery, tastes like protein drink that had been left out in the sun for a week. I had my 11 year old taste it because he will eat anything that is chocolate and he said it doesn't right. I'm in the process of trying to get a refund for this syrup and a few other items.
honestly really disappointed because I bought 2 cases of the walden farms pancake syrup. I use this product all the time and usually purchase through amazon. This pancake syrup is 100% not the same recipe as the one sold on amazon. It has absolutely no taste and now I have 2 cases of it and wont even be using it. Make sure to purchase only the walden farms syrup that says "original recipe" on the bottle.
I wanted to like it so bad! I'm doing keto and craving chocolate so I bought it at the store and it doesn't even taste like chocolate, I don't know what it tastes like exactly but definitely not chocolate. I was super disappointed and will be throwing it away.
