Wish I would of bought one more love this piece

It was easy to assemble and for the price it's absolutely beautiful and a great deal

Very pleased at the quality and price. The back is not cardboard. It is thin but reasonably thick wood. Here are some things that people complained about and how to avoid the problems. DO NOT use power tools, use hand tools (screw driver). The wood is pine so it is soft and easy to drive the screws home - a power tool might split the wood. The slot on the lower shelf must be placed in the back of the unit facing upwards. The slot on the top shelf must be placed in the back of the unit facing downwards. The lower back panel slides into a slot on bottom shelf, make sure that it is in the slot all the way. The upper back panel slides into a slot on the top shelf, make sure that it is in the slot all the way. The best way to accomplish this is to place the unit on the floor with the front of the unit on the floor (ie, with the back panels facing the ceiling). If the panels are properly in place, there will be a 1/8 " gap between the panels. The 8 screws should be placed in the gap and screwed down, there are no pre-drilled holes for this. The heads of the screws should secure both the bottom of the top panel as well as the top of the bottom panel. If I had it to do over again, I would use small washers on the 8 screws so that the washers would secure the panels better.

I loved this shelf so much I bought three! Beautiful decor and solid build. I have 2 for tv stands and one for regular decor. Goes great with any wood or modern black metal furniture.

This table exceeded my expectations! It is solid wood and durable enough for what I need it for (TV stand and storage). However, PLEASE follow the instructions of no power tools! I tried it and it was to much for the shelving. Everything was perfect with a hand screwdriver.

Returned. Didn't even finish unboxing for assembly - pieces were cracked in the shipping box. Shipping box was not damaged and items were packed well. Clearly the pieces were cracked when packaged.

The table itself is beautiful - IF we could ever put it together. The wood top isn't level so it isn't sitting right on the dowels. One of the corners is tipping upward. One of the slats has a crack and seems to just have been glued together. Also, pre drilled holes for the legs are missing. And the decorative slats provided don't fit the table. Called Walmart to address this issue and they said they would replace it but nothing has been delivered as of today. They promised the replacement last week. Too bad! It could have been a really beautiful addition to my living room.

Holes for the dowels on the left leg are drilled on the wrong side making it impossible to assemble, unless you drill new holes yourselves - which can't be done. Also the wood quality (or whatever material it's made of) is extremely cheap. I bought a near similar console table from Kirklands at a much higher price and returned it, since I found the same one on Walmart. Turns out lower price = poor quality. Never buying again!

Extremely difficult to assemble. No pre-drilled holes in the shelves to attach hardware to. Too of the unit has marks that cannot be removed.
