we went camping and I was able to keep in contact with my pre-teen the entire time. we took his bike with us and we allowed him to take a friend so he wouldn't be board hanging with just mom and dad. They road their bikes all around the campground and no matter how far away or where they were I was able to teach them through these walkie talkies. I highly recommend them

These walkie talkies are wonderful for a family to use on vacation. Parents get one kids get one. The range is pretty good, but weather does affect their pick up.

Its sturdy and functioning good. Its working for short range, However, as it is for kids, even for less range too, Its ok. Channels have mutiple options. Sometime some other devices are getting connected if same frequency set. Signal reception is excellent.

Cute little walkie talkies...did NOT come with batteries- takes 4 AAA...easy to install batteries. Simple to operate. Distance is pretty good.

excellent I'm quite surprised it goes a long distance they are lightweight operated by four AAA batteries for the price I couldn't beat it for what it was needed for 100% satisfied, the cigarette lighter is a normal Bic lighter for size comparison

Bought these for my 8 year old son and he loves them. I have to be the one on the other end though, so that sometimes gets annoying haha but they are a fun toy!

They are great little walkie talkies. I am putting 4 stars because together they take 8 AAA batteries. Batteries can get expensive. Other than that I'm really impressed with the quality.

These walkie-talkies can come in clutch and have a pretty good price point. I don't like that they are not rechargeable, but having backup batteries is faster than waiting on a charge. You are not going to get a lot of range out of them, as anything powered by regular batteries won't be super powerful, and both transmission and reception are fairly limited. I definitely would not depend on them in an emergency, but they work out pretty well for keeping communication in small areas without yelling. Overall, they have some good features for the price.
