Walkin' Wheels Dog Wheelchair - Vet Approved - Med to Large Dogs 50 - 69 lbs

We waited several months before making the decision to get a wheelchair after IVDD surgery and we could not be happier with our purchase. Our dog has not yet regained the ability to walk and seeing how happy he is with his wheels was the best decision we could have made.

Received the rear wheelchair and after consulting wOrtho Veterinarian, we decided on surgery rather than an amputation. It appeared a quality product for the value. We returned the chair and customer service was very helpful to refund the credit card charge.

My pup was really having a difficult time. He was getting worn out very quickly and had a hard time getting up and lying down. Sancho lost his leg back in April of 2022 at only 4 months old due to getting run over by a truck. He is now 9 months old and with the walkin pets wheelchair he is able to finally run and play and have a good time with the other dogs and he doesn't get tired or seem as sore near as often. Sancho is now living a much happier life and all thanks to walkin pets.

We are still learning to use this, but it has definitely helped our pup and his walks! As Buddy loses strengthfunction in his back legs, we are trying to teach him to rely on his wheels. He's defininitely got a little pep in his step! The wheels were simple to assemble with helpful instructions. Definitely pricey, but a major investment that's worth it.

I can only offer a review for the quality of the product as my 15 year old dog didn't make it long enough to use it more than twice. However, it is a very sturdy product. It came with all the pieces needed to adjust the fit to my dog. I would definitely purchase this product again.

There is no doubt about it, this is a high-quality wheelchair for dogs. Unfortunately, I have to return it because my dog doesn't fit quite right even though it is the proper size for her. The straps that hang under her hips to support her back legs makes her legs splay out so much that she is nearly running over her own feet (and surely would if she got running). We watched several videos to make sure it was adjusted properly, and it was. We don't have her feet in stirrups because she isn't paralyzed - she still has use of her back legs, she just gets tired and achy very easily because she has IVDD and terrible arthritis in her back legs. If she didn't have use of her back legs at all and I put her in stirrups, I think this would work perfectly.

This is a nice product with a few frustrating issues. The push pin they use is the first item. I love the fact they made parts adjustable. It is terrible though that the push pin design is so flimsy and it turns inside the tube 95% of the time you are trying to make an adjustment. Not easy on the dog you are trying to adjust to or your back. Having to pull the whole thing apart to adjust the pin back in place is irritating. Next, the straps in the back (to secure up the belly at the legs) didn't seem the same quality as the harness. The straps in the back are thinner and already have snags. This happened day 2. Overall I'm glad I bought it, but I struggle to believe it is worth the price.

I wish I could give it 5 stars. We have been trying for a week to fit this properly on our dog. It seems to fit except the the wheels that are too tall. We thought we would call the company to see if someone could help us. They said of course and to send pictures. I sent many different photos with different views of my dog In his chair.. and never heard back. I emailed multiple times to confirm the photos were received and never heard. Our dog has yet to have a successful walk in It due to difficulties in fitting his breed. Very disappointed

We waited for months to be able to afford this wheelchair for my beloved dog, Majid. The order took twice as long to arrive. It is not difficult to assemble, but it is more complex than it needs to be. The materials are cheap. Extremely light plastic parts, and a heavy metal frame. The harness is not easily adjustable to his size, though we went by the measurements. I will have to trim it down a lot to fit his chest. The harness does hardly anything. The front poles droop, because it is not well engineered. The back is okay--but again, cheap parts combined with heavy clunky parts. The overall thing should be priced at $150, not at $450. It is more expensive than a bicycle, and bikes have moving gears, chains, brakes, steering wheels, handle bars... The idea is good--my dog is very excited to have his hind lifted and the wheels to help him. Going up the hills the fit is too long in the back, with the hubs behind his hips. Going down hills it moves forward and then the hubs go in front of his hips. I think it could be engineered much better. I am cranky about how much fuss they make about it and how I will be paying it off for a while and yet it might wear out before my dog does. I do not recommend this product. I recommend you hire someone handy to make you something similar and fitted to your dog and to your needs. It will be much less expensive and more fun. We do like the blue color. The wheels do okay on the rough road we live on and the grassy side areas. Those are the positive qualities. One customer service rep was very helpful. One was not. The marking of the product is confusing as they had us order size L but shipped us size M and then we had to find out why that was actually the right size because of their inability to simply specify sizes on the packaging that correspond with their sales site. I also must mention this could be much easier to get the dog into and out of. The straps are not arranged in a way that you can slip the thing on you must undo every part and fit each component separately while your dog tries to balance and wait. Big deal they make of this product and the founder seems full of himself. It could be much better.

Push pin gets stuck inside when trying to adjust length of the wheelchair. Expensive product, cheaply made. Customer service along with manager were a nightmare to deal with when trying to return this product. Company doesn't pay for UPS to pick up therefore customers that don't live near a drop off location are faced with driving 1 hour to nearest location. Expensive to return especially with high gas prices. Very inconvenient!!!
