Perfect for a set of silverware, beautifully lined in black. There are slots for knives and the knives stay in place when closing and fit without bumping the items below. Forks, spoons etc fit in bottom slots well. The storage chest is sleek and fits nicely in my cabinet but be sure to measure your space and look at the dimensions, as this box is a little longer (left to right measurement) than some. The price can't be beat, and Wallace is a trusted name. Could. It find specific description as to whether the black felt lining is anti tarnish or. It. Maybe I missed it and it's there in the description. Ample room in lower half to also place a serving utensil to two crossways.

This item was intended to hold some valuable flatware, and I I wanted something that would reflect the quality of the flatware, would hold it well, and would protect it. it was only because I had recently been impressed with some other items that I found at Walmart, that I even checked the website. This was after quite a bit of searching on much more likely high end websites. I find this item to be exactly what I wanted, and at a reasonable price.

This storage chest arrived well package and before time. It is perfect! Beautiful color and finish. The inside is finished nicely, YES, there are knife slots for the knifes (others have stated in the review that there are not) You have to look for them and they work perfect. This is a steal of a buy!! I highly recommend this item 150%. The price is way below market for a compared item. Don't be afraid to buy! Very nice.

Lovely silverware chest and affordable! Perfect for rejuvenating a vintage sterling silver set that I inherited and gifted to my daughter. Great quality.

This chest has a beautiful finish. It is perfect for a small set (4-8 settings) of flatware. It does not come with any silversmith cloth. The lining is felt. I bought it on sale and feel it is worth the price .

The storage chest is slim, 3"-4" tall and holds 16 place settings nicely. the slim design doesn't take up a lot of space in the hutch which is what I was looking for. Considering the price, the storage chest is a really good value and meets our needs and expectations.

The Wallace storage chest had NO SLOTS on the inside lid to hold knives! Box was NOT like the photo.

Product received was not product shown. There are no knife slots in the lid. Even double checked just in case I overlooked something in the rush of Thanksgiving preparations. Quite a disappointment. I have a new set of good flatware and can't store all the pieces together now. If you flipped the lid around on the image above it would look like the product I received sans the slots for the table knives.
