Walt Disney Pictures - Turning Red [BLU-RAY]

Comes with 3 discs: one blu-ray, one extras and one regular dvd. This movie is about Mei Mei, whose family curse is activated now that she is 13 and strong emotions turn her into a giant red panda. The main theme of the movie is self acceptance. She learns to control her panda, live with it and use it to her benefit. She also must confront her family when she chooses to keep the panda instead of hiding it away like they have all done. The movie incorporates many coming of age struggles, is funny and has lots of music that follows a typical boy band style.

I love the meaning behind this movie. It's a great coming of age story as well as reminding parents to listen to their children. Allow them room to be themselves and discover who they are. I enjoyed the movie. The message, the animation, the emotion, this movie has it all.

I think that this is a really good Pixar film, definitely one of my favorites. It's fun and enjoyable and I am giving the movie 8/10. The product itself is a 10/10. Both the video and audio quality are great, there shouldn't be any problems with either of them. The special features are great as well. They really dive deep into the animation process, more than most animation movies, which is great in my opinion. They also go into the story and characters a little bit, but more so on the creation process. Don't expect any interviews from the actors, because there are none. My only complaint with this product is that on the back of the case, it says "And More!" for the bonus extras, however, I really didn't find more. Just everything it says in the back and trailers. I really expected more from the bonus extras but overall, I would highly recommend getting a copy for physical media collectors. I would buy again.
