this portable unit cools my room as well as a window unit. it also weighs a lot less and has wheels. I'm 69 and in poor health and was able to hook everything up by myself.

This Unit does not provide a wide ranch for AC. I probably didn't get enough btu. I think the window units are better since all the heat generated is on the other side of the window. Having a hose just means heat inside too.
