This box set is EXACTLY what I was looking for, and Walmart had it at an incredible price. Anyone who loves Gilligan's Island will be delighted with this set. It even includes the Pilot episode that I never saw. I knew that the series only aired for 3 years, but it seemed like much longer because each season included tons of episodes, stored on 9 discs, front and back. WOW!

I grew up watching this show and have always liked it. now days you don't get good clean comedy anymore. if you like a show that the whole family can enjoy this is a great sitcom. i'm only sad that they didn't make more than 3 seaons. great entertainment well worth the price.

You will love getting stranded on a desert isle with Gilligan, The Skipper,The Professor, The Howells,Ginger and Mary Ann. From beinging to end this complete series will have you laughing and for under 70 bucks that had me laughing all the way to the checkout online. This is a MUST get item for collectors. Love it!

I watched Gilligan's Island from childhood until a few years ago when it was taken off the air. I remembered it a few weeks ago and started checking hulu and you tube for reruns with no luck. I found this collection to be better than I expected! No commercials!!! I would recommend this to any Gilligan's Island lovers! Good clean fun for the whole family! It is awesome!

This is a silly show, but it is funny as well. I really like the Skipper and Gilligan, who at times remind me of Laurel and Hardy. The first season is in black and white, but the second and third seasons are in color. And the colors are rich and add to the series. I also like the other castaways. Jim Backus was great as Mr. Howell, as was Natalie Schaffer as Mrs. Howell. The Professor, Russell Johnson, knew a lot but for some reason couldn't build a raft to get off the Island. Ironically, years before he became the Professor, Russell Johnson guest starred in an episode of the Twilight Zone in which his charchter goes back in time and almost stops the assisination of President Abraham Lincoln. Amazing how he can do that but can't built that raft. Ginger and Mary Ann are two beauties from the opposite sides. For years, there has been a debate over who was the prettiest. I like them both equally. And finally the reason that I said this is the first of two Sherwood Schwartz classics. A couple of years after Gilligan ended Sherwood Schwartz came up with "A story of a lovely lady who was bringing up three very lovely girls" who marries a man named Brady with three boys, a housekeeper named Alice and a dog named Tiger. Of course I am talking about the Brady Bunch. The entire Brady Bunch series is also out on DVD. If you like Gilligan I suggest you also check this out. Jim Backus guest stars in the first part of the Grand Canyon adventure in the third season. He returns in the fifth season as Mike Brady's boss, who gets beat in a game of pool by Bobby Brady. And Natalie Schaffer stops by the Brady residence as a client of Mike's in the fifth season who Cindy thinks is a talent scout looking for the next Shirley Temple (who Cindy imitates for her). Here's an interesting bit of trivia for fans of both shows: In the movie "A Very Brady Sequel" it is revealed that the biological father of Carol Brady's daughters is none other than the Professor from Gilligan's Island, which would explain what happened to their biological daddy.

The disc set was everything I'd hoped for, and man did it take me back to my childhood, watching Gilligan's Island reruns in the early 70s. Not sure why when I ordered it right before Xmas for $40 (including shipping and tax) and now it's back up to $70 list price though...maybe Santa was helping me shop that day...:)

Very easy to use menu! I find it hard to stop watching these top quality Gilligan episodes. My 9 year old twins and my 14 year old LOVE EM! The packaging and special features are great. This is an amazing deal. Anyone considering buying this product, I highly recommend it.

As a die-hard "Gilligan's Island" fan, whenever TV aired a show, I watched, all these years later. I love this collection. Now I can watch a show anytime I want. Super great. I would highly recommend this collection to all "Gilligan's Island" fans.

I purchased this set for my family's "Friday Night Movie Nights!!!" And what a smashing hit it was! My children (4 & 7 yrs. old) loved it and were quickly able to identify each of the characters. The best part? This entire series has no smart mouthed, sarcastic, or disrespectful kids in it. (An unfortunate staple of today's television.) All of the classic guests are here: Tongo-the ape man, Wrongway Feldman, The Jungle Boy, (Kurt Russel) etc... What a treat! It was quite fun to revisit these old "Friends" with my children and look upon them through my adult eyes. A little pricey but worth the investment. A word of caution though...Be prepared to answer the following questions from the little ones: Why is Gilligan so silly and how could they NOT get off of that island? Classic! Enjoy!!!
