This movie has always been one of my favorites my father who has long passed used to watch it with me when I was young.. Time has gone by but this story is timeless

uh, there is nothing i can say that hasn't been said. this is a classic Paul Newman, as anyone that has seen it would agree. classic, great movie, when rolls of the characters are swapped...... kinda like today's political scene.

This is a truly depressing movie starring Paul Newman depicting just how horrible prison life is for anyone with a spark of individuality where every moment is controlled by someone else. Parental guidance.

Enjoyed the movie and content without having to mute or skip scenes due to content. New movies seem to have lost the ability to tell a story and do without vulgarity and tons of nudity or *** scenes crammed down your throat.

Good movie and priced right.

This is one of the best movies in general and one of the best Paul Newman's best.

An incredible achievement in making this film into a Blu-Ray transfer. I have been a long time fan of this film and am "blown away" with the picture and sound quality. The colors are absolutely brilliant and the sound is outstanding on my home theater system. I would recommend this Blu-Ray disc to anyone who enjoys good ol' classic movies.

all time classic in my book...I had it before for years & then lent it to someone but he denied ever getting it from me when I asked for it back...no biggie...just buy another...What we have here is a failure to communicate...great line in the movie.

I DIDN'T MEAN TO ORDER BLURAY! I SEARCHED THE WALMART.COM SITE FOR "DVD MOVIE SOLD AND SHIPPED BY WALMART " THEN BROWSED FOR A CHRISTMAS GIFT. THE "BLURAY" DIDN'T CATCH MY EYE, AND I DON'T KNOW IF THE RECIPIENT CAN VIEW A BLURAY. I WOULD 5 STAR THE MOVIE, BUT WALMART.COM GETS A 1 FOR STINKY SEARCH.
