Excellent Guitar, Superior for this Price Point.

RockyMtnMan August 31, 2024

This is an excellent guitar and a deal at this price! The guitar is well made, solid and sets up well. The sound is great, and the little amp is very nice for quiet practice sessions, not powerful enough for "real" performances but does the job in a bedroom or living room to hear what you are playing. The guitar I received was had no flaws in its finish, the neck is straight and the frets were decent. No fret sprout, but a little sharp. A few minutes with a file or sanding block fixed that right up. The techwood fretboard resembles rosewood, and looks nice. It only took a few minutes to intonate and tune up properly. I played with the "shipping strings" for a day or two, to break in the guitar, then switched the strings to D'Addario XLs (9 - 42) and the guitar sounds really good. I will not use the spare strings that came with the guitar for this guitar. I will put them on my next DIY guitar to set it up, then replace them with strings that I know the brand of. I have been playing this guitar for over a year now, and it is my favorite electric. I have a couple other guitars that are in this same price range, and this s always my go to instrument. I even bought a second one (so I have a transparent black and a tobacco burst one) and they are both great. I put 10s on one and 9s on the other, just to see. While the sound is not noticeably changed, the feel of the guitar is different, and I prefer the 10s. Washburn makes a fine instrument.

Beginner Guitar

Dawn June 9, 2024

Guitar came in a beat up box, and one of the accessory boxes looked like someone tried to tear it open. Fortunately, everything was inside the boxes. Comes with a stand, strap, carying case, mini amp, strings and tuner. For the price, it's a good bargain for a beginner.
