I bought these to walk on a beach with alot of shells. They were perfect for this application. My feet are very sensitive and these socks kept the sand and water out.

Keeps my feet warm and dry. Big reason I bought it keeps sand out, unlike wet shoes. Also, impressed with the bottom of sock, actually can walk on gravel on parking lot (I have tender feet)

I hate cold feet while playing outdoor volleyball and these definitely help. No solution is perfect so I wear socks underneath sometimes for another layer but it definitely helps.

I was looking for something more for my kids in their shoes when caving to keep their feet dry this is not it not waterproof that's what they call sand proof which my basic sock almost is anyway stepping on rocks hurts, but you do have some protection
