bought the waterpik toothbrush and flosser because my old generic one died. wanted a reliable unit, so ordered this one. have had a waterpik in the past and it lasted several years, so feel it is reliable. works great, has 30 second timers, so you know when you are getting close to 2 minutes.
My sister recommended this Waterpik electric toothbrush and flosser. She has been using this product for many years. After my dentist scolded me for not flossing enough I purchased it. This is the the easiest way to brush and floss simultaneously! My teeth feel Great!
I like the small footprint and only having one item on my bathroom counter. I haven't used a waterpik in years because two seemed like too much clutter, plus a hassle to first use one then the other. It seems to take a long time for the old cold water left in the tubing to move out and the new warm water in the tank to start coming through. Also, I'm a little confused about the efficacy of my sensitive-teeth toothpaste, since if I apply it at the beginning and brush and water-pik at the same time, it likely washes all of the toothpaste off. I've tried starting with a different toothpaste, using the waterpik function at the same time, then stopping the waterpik, applying the sensitive-teeth paste after, then a quick waterpik rinse, but that seems time-consuming and wasteful (more toothpaste than I would normally use). Still playing around with it.
Having used an sonic care toothbrush with a standalone waterpik for years and consistently trying to get my daughters to do the same with little success, picked up the Waterpik combination toothbrush with water flosser and they absolutely love it. Both got an excellent report from their dentist after just a few weeks of using it
I switched to the Sonic Fusion from another brand of electric toothbrush and a separate water pick. I was so surprised how much more gentle the Sonic Fusion is and yet my mouth feels super clean! I'm sold. Looking forward to seeing the difference at my next hygiene appointment.
I'm hoping this helps me to keep down the excessive buildup of plaque that I usually experience. I bought it immediately after my last cleaning at the dentist's and I THINK my teeth feel better. Looking forward to my next exam to see what the dentist says! I now floss afer every brushing whereas before I only did that in the evening.
I have had these for years and love them. Waterpiks alone are painful on my gums and I can't tell where to aim them properly. With this model, the water shoots out in the center of the toothbrush. So I can gently brush across my teeth and gums, with comfort, and the waterpik cleans all the area. Its great!!
This is my second one. It's easy to use, and it's easy to maintain a healthy routine for my mouth. The dentist was even impressed. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the handle cannot be replaced, so once the battery dies, you have to buy a whole new unit which is wasteful and expensive.
Love my 1st brush but it finally died! Love being able to travel with it and it held a charge for at least a week! I hope my new brush will last and travel well with me. I did not get the bush with the larger water container and that was disappointing. The brush has lapses when in use that frustrate me! Brush heads are great but the smaller tank means more frequent refills. Great results at the dentist are most important and these brushes do the job well!
What I like: clever blend of flossing and brushing. Does a better job than Sonic Care alone. Water tank is quick and easy to fill and empty. Dial to set power of flossing is a nice touch. Water line that pivots at the base of the brush prevents tangles -- that's a good design choice. The brush has a low noise level. The rubber feet are good for "solid footing." Thanks! What I don't like. If flossing power is set above 4 (I prefer 5), this apparatus is noisy and has a lot of vibration. I wish there was a clip or hook for the transformer so I could stop dropping it as I carry this equipment between the bath and bedroom. The brush is loose and floppy in the holder; holder should be more snug. The good news. There are more pluses than minuses
