Very Strong 1 inch thick base.
I needed the 1 inch height to save me from changing my plumbing so my new Hayward Super pump would line up correctly. I was happy to find this and I was able to trim a few inches off for my space with a fine tooth blade on a table saw. It is very strong and I used 2 self tapping stainless screws to secure the pump to the base.
