Waverly Inspirations 44" x 3 yards 100% Cotton Solid Onyx Color Pre-cut Sewing Fabric

Love Waverly! Serious quilters are happy Walmart provides economical options in the Waverly line of fabrics. I stopped going to quilt shops and websites -- the cost of fabric has skyrocketed.

This black cotton fabric is an awesome price. I've used it to back many little quilts for "quilts for kids".

Good quality and good price. Had some smell when arrived but put in washer and the smell was gone. I will use it for quilting.

I use this as lining for skirts and dresses, quilts and pretty much whenever I need a solid dark cotton in a project. Washes nicely, breathable, and needs to be ironed before using for a project because it wrinkles. Fabric does fade eventually after many washes, but all cotton does. It is an all purpose fabric with no stretch. This fabric has a good weight and cuts cleanly. A little stiff at first but gets softer with washing and wear. Comes in many colors and is a continuous 3 yard piece.

The three yard pre-cut amount is a good yardage cut, suitable for most projects. I made totes and quilts with this fabric. It has a n ice sturdy weave good quality weave. Caution: there is shrinkage. The three linear yards are cut to the EXACT amount, not a mm more. I did a pre-wash and the three yards shrunk by 7 cm (2 5/8 inches). Final width after prewash is 42. 5 inches, salvage to salvage so the usable width is under 41 inches. Also, there was a good amount of "bleeding" in wash water. Thus, I strongly recommend prewash (may need to repeat) and use of color catches once item is made and washed. But overall, I am pleased with this purchase. It is totally suitable for my quilting and tote projects.

I love being able to order solid color fabric for crafting and have it delivered straight to my door! It will ravel and the black picks up a ton of lint, but it is so handy for my craft projects that I have bought it multiple times in several different colors.

Only half the material I paid for arrived. Was supposed to be a 2pack of three yards. Only 3 yards arrived. not enough to back a quilt.

Horrible smell upon washing. Not usable. What a disappointment. I have bought other waverly inspirations fabrics and they are good but this one is not even 100% cotton and is horribly stinky.
