WD 12TB My Cloud EX2 Ultra NAS - Network Attached Storage - Dual-Core Processor (WDBVBZ0120JCH-NESN)

I just bought the My Cloud Expert Series EX2 Ultra maybe 2 weeks ago and I've already had several issues of Fan Failure and even more power supply failures.

Could not get it to work. Spent about about an hour with a great tech person but she couldn't get it to work either. Promised to send me a website/video on setting it up but 24 hours later nothing yet

Love the product BUT one issue: the key number for manual addition of a drive is absent. I've bought two of these and neither had the security code on the sticker as indicated in the help screen.

I was forced to upgrade from My Cloud Home so I would have assumed the more than twice as expensive product would be better, but it's far less user-friendly. EdgeRover, WD discovery, and WD Dashboard all CANNOT see the EX2-ultra. It gets even worse before, I had access to my cloud as a network drive on all of my computers (Through WD discovery) Now you have to map it like it is a computer, and doesn't work the same. Unless you are only using this from a mobile device I would not recommend it. The biggest feature lost on this "upgrade" is the ability to share folders. Before you could right click and create a shared link that isn't even close to an option now.

I have read the reviews and they are not so great.

I love this drive, remember- the total storage size is cut in half if you mirror the drives.

every time I have a hard time to log on to it, wrong password, when it is not

Awesome upgrade 5G makes all the difference from 3G. Great technology advancement

This product delivers reliability and dependability and is relatively easy to use.

I love the MyCloud series; I gave my first one (4Tb, perfectly working order) to a nephew and bought an 8Tb. It suits my purposes perfectly: Play Dark Ambient videos 24/7 thru a surround sound system in my bedroom. I've never had a moment's problem using this MyCloud. It is easy to understand, easy to use. I love mine.
