the oil works great for oiling my floor box and oscillating fans
I buy and restore older woodworking and metalworking machines and this is my goto lube for motors, bearings and most any other lubrication points. I would really like to be able to buy larger quantities, 1 litre/quart bottles instead of the tiny ones. Great product, I use it all the time.
I know this states for 1/4 hp motors or larger, but I used it to lubricate a noisy bathroom vent fan motor. The fan has been in use since 1997 when the house was built and had gotten noisy and unusable. I took the fan apart, cleaned it, and lubricated it with this oil. Now all is good. The fan is again quite and runs perfect.
I bought the 3 in one motor oil years ago and i have used it for many different things such as: Electric motors, Power tools, Bicycle brake and shifter cables, chains and freewheels etc and many other things and it always works great, lasts along time and stands the heat of electric motors.
I've seen a can of this stuff around my dads toolbox since I was a little kid. Now I'm 30 and this is the oil I choose to have around my house. What brought me to this site was info on oil properties but what keeps me reaching for more of this oil is it's reliability. It's the good stuff.
HAD HARD TIME FINDING THIS I HAVE USED 3 IN 1 OIL ON MY SEWING MACHINE AND EQUIPMENT SINCE I WAS 9 AND IM NOW 71
I bought a seeburg jukebox and was recommended this oil for the motor and clutch and other metal parts, I live in the UK and had to send to the USA. Price of oil was small but post was 3 times the price of the oil. But we'll worthwhile.
This is what I have used for years for the purpose of lubricating electric motors. Yes, the container says 1/4 horsepower or larger. However, some of the smaller ones call for this as well. I have three electric fans, a boiler and a dehumidifier which have motors that require oiling annually. I use this every time and it works well.
This product is a must for Classic car owners running SU Carborators (oil immersion types) found in most British Leyland vehicles and/or MG, MGB ....
I've used 3-in-one SAE 20 in my home a/c unit for 3-4 yrs. now and it still runs nice and quite!
