the description was not accurate this however is great to store everything on your Xbox for Xbox One games and 360 games but for the series s and X you cannot store it and play the games at the same time you can only do that with an expansion card .
A great price for a breat product.
I like that it has so much memory. I don't like that you have to transfer the games or data to the console before you can play them. It definitely comes in handy and saves time and energy. Sometimes we as humans need to learn to be patient and this helps out a lot for me!
I am new to most tech stuff but this was very easy to set up. The only thing I had a hard time with was on how to disconnect it properly but I just watched some YouTube videos to figure it out. And another nice thing about this is that I can play older games off it without moving anything on to the Xbox, I can play right off the drive
I purchased this expansion drive because the 512 GB Xbox series S storage is extremely limited. The file size for most games exceed 50 GB and with other preloaded apps, I was unable to download the games that I really wanted into my digital library. After setting up this storage drive, I was able to expand my library and have plenty of room left for upcoming game titles. If you own an Xbox series s original, this game drive is a must have and is extremely convenient!
This device is easy to use I've known WD for decades. First review. There is nothing negative to write about this storage device. I will say I should have checked and read more closely the limitations from Xbox Series X. Xbox doesnt have or doesn't allow the storage of different media on the drive. Saved games, photos, videos. Xbox will only allow one type of use of the drive, unfortunately. I love WD, I will continue to buy their products.
This was a great deal for a huge amount of storage. Looks and works amazingly well for HDD. I use it for gaming and bought it because the price was so good. HDD are great for pictures/movies- storage in general. I am glad I have it. Honestly I am saving up for a new SSD though because they are so much faster. Good deal for 4TB of storage though.
Due to the limited storage capacity of my Xbox Series S the WD_Digital 5TB External Hard Drive. Allows me to never again have to uninstall a game just to play another one it's a pain if. You down loading Madden24 or Call Of Duty with 5TB's of space all of my favorite game's have room. I my only downside is that you can't play games that are optimized for Xbox Series X/S other than that it gets an easy 5 ⭐️ but since I can't I'll give it 4 ⭐️
It works great so far. I've been downloading games on it pretty much since I got it. I had to format it to work with my Xbox, which is annoying since it's Xbox branded, but it works. Only other problem I have isn't necessarily this product specifically, but for storage drives in general. This is labeled as 5Tb, but it only has 4.5Tb. I get that some space might not be usable for things to work. But in Tb, that's a lot! Storage drives should be labeled with the usable space! Only thing keeping me from giving full 5 stars overall...
Everything is fine; the copying speed is fast, and the product is brand new and still sealed. However, this product originally comes with a 3-year warranty, but currently, only 1 year remains. This means that by the time it reaches the consumer, 2 years of the warranty have already elapsed.
