WD Black D10 WDBA3P0080HBK 8TB USB External Game Hard Drive WDBA3P0080HBK-NESN

This hard drive is awesome. I actually brought one for my Xbox and had to buy another for the PS5. With this hard drive I'm able to save a ton of games on it and not have to sacrifice deleting any of my old games. The upload and download is pretty quick and I am still able to play certain games right off the hard drive. Definitely a good buy. One off thing that some people might dislike is that it can be a little loud at times depending on where it is placed but that's the only downside (when I say loud you would have to have nothing else on or running for you to truly hear it).

WD has never let me down and I have been in IT for 25 years and using their products longer than that...

I only use Western Digital drives on my pc's, external drives and dvr's because they are top quality, fairly priced and have super customer service and support. I was using a regular external drive and though it worked ok upgrading to the WD Black made a huge difference in playing the games stored on it. It is much faster and smoother with no hiccups while gaming. Well worth it in my opinion.

I use this drive for high end video editing on a Mac. I've purchased a second one based on the great performance from the first. I'm not sure what others are talking about, but my drives do not run hot nor are they especially loud. I would highly recommend these drives and I'm putting my money where my mouth is! I'm going to buy more of them.

Nice way to gets lots of storage In a way you wouldn't expect f

This 8TB driver is holding all my single player games especially the huge ones. Currently have about 2TB space left and playing games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion and Final Fantasy 15 for example. No longer do I have to decide what I need to uninstall, my next game is ready to play when I am done with one. Have about 300+ games installed on this drive. Best purchase ever.

For the price and transfer speed you can't beat this drive. I use it as my new external for my Xbox Series X. Be aware though that this is still an HDD, not an SSD, so you WILL NOT be able to run Xbox Series X or PS5 games from it, though you can transfer them to the drive to store one of those types of games' data without having to re-download it which is *very* nice. You can however play Original first gen Xbox games and Xbox 360 games (and some XBLA games) from it, so if you have a large library of backwards compatible physical disc games for Original Xbox and Xbox 360, this drive is absolutely perfect for that. Great for offloading Series X games I don't play frequently onto it too like certain MMOs and games I have minimal interest in (i.e. Di*bl* IV) I'd highly reccomend this drive over buying an expensive proprietary 1 or 2 TB only Expansion Card for your Series X as this is a much better value for a bit less cost.

I had to burn through my warranty just to get a working drive, as the first one they sent was dead on arrival. Im a little disappointed, and if this new drive gives out in the warranty period, I wont be purchashing a WD drive again.

I love the way the drive looks. The led bar is nice and the industrial design goes above and beyond expectations. It is quite big though and it is LOUD. It clicks continuously during read/write but the worse is when it wakes up. There is a jarring, desk shaking shudder everyone it wakes up from stand by. I'm taking a chance by keeping it but I would probably pick a different model is i had known about the noise.

I have had this drive and its way way way too hot. after owning it for one month I noticed the heat coming off of it. 61C my Seagate lasted longer than that and never really got hot like this. poorly designed for the price tag needs a bigger fan maybe next time make a enclose with a TEC unit and a big heatsink with an industrial exhaust fan.
