WD Elements WDBWLG0040HBK-NESN 4 TB Desktop Hard Drive - External - Black - USB 3.0 - 2 Year Warranty - Retail - 1

I have already filled up several 4tb drives, with my photos, etc, If you save large JPEG's and the RAW formats, you will need these very large storage devices. I have never had a Western Digital Elements drive fail on me, exactly, what I need.... Works on my old usb 2.0 devices and the usb 3.0.

I bought two of these 4-TB hard drives. I just checked on one of them and all seemed okay but the second one has not been checked out yet and won't be till after Xmas. All boxes came quite damaged in one corner as id it had fallen a great distance.

This drive has been working flawlessly for me, full time, for a couple of months now as a dedicated drive supporting my Raspberry Pi DVR system. Besides its reliability it is very quiet! Very happy with this purchase.

Solid drive for my semi-important data. I like to keep these around and replaced every ~5-7 years. I've had great results and not a single drive has failed me yet (knocks on wood).

This drive is smaller than I thought it would be--a good thing! My Mac recognized it immediately and a friend helped me set it up to be compatible. Taking steps to secure my personal data makes me feel much better.

I bought this to replace an old 500GB unit when I bought a new laptop. The documentation was somewhat confusing. It is designed to get you to enroll in a subscription service to back up your files on "the cloud." I just wanted it to give me additional storage. When I plugged it in it was immediately recognized and I began to use it. The only problem I experienced (Windows 10) was the computer lost sight of the drive. I had to disable then enable the USB3 port from the control panel. This is an easy fix and has nothing to do with the drive

Good HD. Fast with plenty of storage. Would be nice if it came with some WD tools already installed.

I've been using the 6TB WD Element as an external hard drive for my work as a full time wedding photographer since 2018. I guess I just stuck with what I knew, but I should have left this model behind the first time it failed me. This HD is super sensitive to being unexpectedly ejected. On the few occasions that power has gone out and shut down my desktop, it has unmounted and will not mount to the desktop again. Despite a lot of trouble shooting, the hard drive is useless and my photos are inaccessible. I'm tired of the near misses and continued problems with this hard drive.

Crap product, came in defective, hooked up to 2 computers and it would even recognize it, I have had WD drives before but this will definitely be the last time I ever order one from them

I purchased and to my surprise there is no WD security software comes with the and you have to use third party software. this is absolutely ridicules.
