Significantly increased the speed of my Xbox one original console. We're talking 8 minute load times down to 2 minutes. Great deal great product looks cool too on its little stand. I wish they made a 10 terabyte in the same style because I would definitely buy one. With the increasing size of games and the add ons, it would be worth it to have that much available disk space and be portable on top of all of that.

This item is faster than any HDD storage devices on the market. It's faster than the internal HDD on an xbox One as well. To use it for games/apps it has to be reformatted, which is easy to do using an xbox. As it comes configured for media (music and video recording). To set it up for games storage you just find the device in Settings >> System >>Storage Devices and press the menu button for more options. Reformat for Games/Apps. The only downside of this item is you will not be able to play Series X/S games from this device. Thats a limitation of external storage in general when used with Series hardware. They will have to be transferred back and forth to the internal SSD. However the transfer speeds from ssd to ssd is crazy fast, something like 3GB/sec. So its considerably faster than downloading games. You CAN play xbox one games straight from this device as well, and many games have different versions available so you can always download the xbox one version instead of the series x/s version to this device, and it would let you play it without transfer to the internal ssd.

We loved this product because of the reviews, but there is a catch if you are wanting to play games directly from it. With Xbox game pass only some of the games can be played directly from the storage device so keep that in mind when buying it. We ended up also getting the seagate expansion internal storage so that we had multiple options

Better description would be nice, I assumed since it is advertised specifically for Xbox that it would work in unison. You have delete a game and download from this storage device every time. Works, but not what I was expecting.

This was pointless on getting. But, it my own fault i should've just bought the 1TB xbox.

Bought the hard drive thinking I could play games on the external but it only stores the game on the hard drive you have to transfer the games back an forth from your hard drive to the Xbox to even play them an you can only play them on the Xbox an not the ones stored on hard drive an the download for moving them back an forth takes jus as long as if your deleting the game an re downloading it back jus a waiste of time an money

Well I had ordered the 2TB external hard drive that I had paid for and you guys sent me a 1TB external hard drive for the price of the 2TB.
