Got this ssd for my PS5 and when they finally unlocked the drive port i installed it. I have to say wow! This thing is lightning fast! The console runs faster and quieter than it did before the install. So far i am extremely pleased with this ssd!

I got this SSD once the beta for the PS5 update was released to upgrade my Ps5 expandable storage. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and well the SSD performs. Most games have improved loading over the Internal SSD within the Ps5. This is really impressive considering how the PS5 architecture was built around speeding up the internal SSD within the console. They did a great job building out the SSD expandable slot with good board speeds directly to the slot. This SSD is very cool compared to most that have been tested and compared for Ps5 upgrades and PC use. I'm very happy that the SSD slot is faster than I thought it would be and find myself moving Ps5 games to the Slot over the internal because of it. So far it's been a great purchase I'd recommend to anyone wanting a good and fast SSD which is also cool and reliable for Ps5 Upgrades on the extra slot it's a no brainer to pick this drive. It comes with the heatsink on it and is sized already to fit perfectly in to the PS5. I've always trusted Western Digital products and this has proven why I have.

I was lucky to order the 2TB with heatsink after seeing these sell out like hotcakes. I purchased this for the use of expanding the internal storage of my PS5. I did get nervous when I was sent a backorder email right after placing my order but the item arrived at the best possible time as it arrived on the day before Sony officially announced that they were releasing the system update the following day that would allow me to increase the storage. Installing was a breeze as long as you know what you're doing prior to going straight in. Luckily there's tons of video tutorials on YouTube. Product works great and now I have more storage on my PS5 for installing games! Item is great quality and delivers excellent performance. I highly recommend this item for anyone looking to increase their PS5s internal storage.

I love my new WD SSD Black with 2TB of storage space for PS5 games whats not to love? I couldn't install it or write a review until Sony finally allowed the update for the expansion. I had this puppy waiting for a couple of months ready for game time. Lightening fast uploads and downloads of games and its even better because it has a heatsink to keep things cool when playing for extended periods of time. WD gets a big thumbs up from me!!

Wow is all their is to say!! Got the 2TB for my PS5 digital, it said 2 week back order but i still ordered it and not even a day later i got the email from WD saying it was shipped and on the way! I chose next day delivery. Simple install on the ps5 and it actually performs slightly quicker compared to the PS5 on board unit.

The drive we received was corrupt and upon installation it corrupted my partners save file of NBA 2k. Dozens of hours of work on campaign are gone now. Luckily that was the only save file that was corrupted. He looked into it and it seems to be a reoccurring issue with this certain memory devices including this one.

The delay. Nothing was done to compensate for poor delivery.
