My Weber grill original bars lasted about 7 years in outdoor Iowa weather (I'd say that's pretty good). I just replaced them with these and grill is just as good as new. Having the new flavorizer bars definitely makes a difference on how the heat is spread evenly on the grill.
Old grill made new again with replacements. The flavorizer bars fit perfectly (you must take the time to select the right size which takes burrowing down through the website to get to the page showing the different sizes not just a single generic type.)
These appear to be sturdier than the OEM product I bought a few years back. They also appear to be coated so that should help them to last also. Make sure you burn them hot for at least 15 minutes before you use them, as they emitted a smelly smoke during the first time heated.
High quality ceramic coating. Ordering was simple and timely
I kept putting off my grill "Spring Refresh" and I'm sorry I did. Worn Flavorizer Bars take too much flame control away. My Refresh made my grill perform like new and provided greater consistency to my grilling!
We us our grill on average three times a week. My original flavorizer bars, which lasted almost 6 years were seriously deteriorated. These replacement flavorizer bars fit perfectly and they generate the flavoring smoke we like. My grill is like new!!!
I love grilling and do it at least 3-4 nights a week. I chose a higher end Weber grill and like how it performs. My disappointment is in the durability of it all. The door fell off from rusted hinges after about two years (out of warranty). The thermostat stopped working at about the same time. I have replaced grates three times and the flavor bars two. It's still less expensive than a new grill but it seems like a tool built to be used in excessive temperatures should be able to hang in there longer.
I have only had the grill a few years, and feel that the metal wore out too soon. We only use it occasionally, so maybe 12-15 times a year. I am in the Northeast so we are not using it 4 months out of the year. Maybe they should make that part out of better metal, or ceramic. I paid a lot for it originally because it was supposed to be quality.
I gave Webber my serial number from my grill and I ordered these flavorizer bars. They don't fit my grill!
the information on line said the flavorizer bars were 17.1" which is what i need and ordered. They came in at 14.5" in length and cannot use them
