Weber Original Kettle Premium Charcoal Grill, 22-Inch, Black

I switched to charcoal at the recommendation of my brother from a gas grill to a Weber. Wish I had done it years ago. The Weber delivers just as it says; heat is easy to maintain, the cleanup is not the best, but you can overlook that for the improved taste. Get grilling.

I have a two burner Weber and wanted something a little more flavor inducing - bought the kettle and am extremely happy - this is my third 22" kettle in 40 years and now I have gas and charcoal Webers at two homes and left the third for the buyer of my first condo

I am a first-time griller and started out with grilling vegetables and they turned out fantastic! Next was smoked/grilled chicken wings and they were great also. I love the temperature gauge on the lid, it helps a lot when I need to know when the grill is ready to cook on. Looking forward to many hours of grilling this year!!!

I have Weber gas grills for the past 15 years and they have been great! I still have my latest Genesis E-315 and use it several times a week. However, I missed the old charcoal and wood smoke flavor of my large smoker pits that are just too big for the 2 of us. I recently purchased the Weber 22" kettle as I remember the quality and toughness of my previous kettles. We really enjoy smoking pork, beef, poultry, and seafood (since we live along the coast). Smoking gives a whole new dimension of flavor to seafood! Glad we purchased the kettle so we can go "old school" again.

The Weber Kettle is one of those tools that you just can't be without. It works without electricity. You can smoke with it, grill with it, cook everything from skewers to a turkey in it. They do wear out over the years, this is my 4th or 5th. Weber continues to improve the ash collector on their Original Kettle model, this one is great. I replaced the stock chromed steel grate with a cast iron set to make searing better. I also like the new colors offered.

There's a reason Weber stands alone. Spome time ago, I bought a look-a-like model. Big Mistake. With my new Weber, I cooked some ribs, low and slow-maintaining proper temperature for the 3 hour cook was a breeze. Ribs were smokey, flavorful and done to perfection.

Bought my first Weber in 1980, used it for 11 years, bought a house with an installed gas grill. Eventually went back to charcoal grill, however, not a Weber. After many years and various charcoal grills, bought a new Weber. Wow, built in thermometer, new style grate making it easy to add more charcoal if necessary when smoking food and a new way to dispose of the ashes. Excellent modifications!

I have owned and used Weber grills for many years. They have cooked many steaks, hamburgers, hots and sausage rain, snow, shine. My small kettles have traveled with me for camping and picnics. Yes, I have had gas grills but nothing comes near to the taste of meat grilled over charcoal. Best of all, with the kettles grills you can smoke meats too, just read the manual and get the smoking kit. Finally as you're grilling, sit back on your porch chair, read or listen to a book as you anticipate a great dinner.

I express myself through my Weber kettle. I know how silly that must sound. We began as a species in search of fire - Weber provides a stage to control that fire to cook with.

Pros= cooks very good! ash collecting pan system works great. Kettle finish is very nice, strong and durable Im no pro, but I find the grill legs height are a bit short and have a flimsy feel at the kettle leg socket. Also the height from the cooking surface to the lid/dome top could be a little higher / taller to accommodate a whole chicken. Also, wish the whole grill was an inch or two higher off the ground maybe longer legs legs. and sturdier leg inserts in the kettle itself...
