A great quality grill in both design and construction. Only 10 minutes for unpacking and assembly. No need to refill bulky heavy propane tanks as this grill uses disposable 1 Lb. propane tanks and has electric starter. Placed on top of Weber grill cart it is easy to move around to channel smoke away when grilling.
Purchased this a few weeks ago and took it in our travel van. We cooked steak, chicken breasts, fish, potatoes and all kinds of other things. It really worked well. The temperature gauge is a must have feature and I noticed it maintained its heat very well even when I opened it to flip something over. I'll admit I used some AI prompts on timing of some of the meats and sure enough, everything came off the Weber fully cooked and quite delicious. I also purchased an adapter kit so I can run it off my travel van's onboard liquid propane. Weber is the best company on the market for this and has excellent support!
had previous model 6 years, gas pipe finally eroded and just bought new one. Grill grates much better, easy to clean. Plastic scraper for body easily found in paint or dry wall area in store. cannot brown buns unless you stand right there and remove after 30 seconds as this one is very hot and they burn quickly. Heats up faster than instructions indicate so be ready to go when you light up as it will be 7-9 minutes to 500 degrees on the start-up setting. Loved the old one. this one is better. would recommend to anyone
I really love this little grill. I have it as my only grill. It is good enought for several burgers , many hot dogs , and a good amount of vegetables. I daily cook for about 3 to 4 and it is sufficiant for that. Adding a nice healthy fresh salad or couple sides keeps my kitchen easy to clean and makes dinner healthy and quick. It is a great addition my love of cooking. Plus it is easy to clean. I have an old bucket filled with water and soap set aside just for this grill so when its all cooled I toss my grill plates in and a few minutes later they are washable and cleaned up. so not too much work there. Hope this imspires others to do portable grills. I did my research and Weber often was the portable of choice. I think so too now.
I was a bit skeptical that this little grill could make delicious burgers, roasts, and chicken. The first thing I made were burgers that turned out so juicy, a little smoky, and beautifully grilled. I reverse seared a roast, a spatchcock chicken covering the grates with foil for indirect heat that all came out perfect. I think the enamel coated cast iron grate design makes all the difference, and it prevents flare ups.
This grill cooks hotter than the previous (larger) Weber grill I had and I have to reduce the gas setting to about half instead of the hottest setting. The stand i had for the previous Weber grill also works with this smaller grill. I love it!
Love the concept of this grill. Got it to use outside our camper. It takes a little getting used to. Takes a little while to get up to a decent heat. If you use a griddle on the grates it won't go much over 300 degrees but will def cook an egg at that temp. - If I was going to buy a grill for a gift, I don't think I would pay the price for this one but now that we have it, I will learn to enjoy it.
The grill is a perfect size for 2 people. My only complaint is it won’t go over 350 degrees. So I bought a large propane tank since that was a suggestion when they don’t get hot enough and it still isn’t getting up to 400. I also did the reset in case I did something wrong but that didn’t help either. So it’s well made just won’t get hot enough and for the initial cost and then added expense it should work seamlessly from the get go.
Although I like the grill, I liked the "original" Weber Q much better. It was "beefier" and better made. Also, the new stand for the small Q is exceptionally rickety and cheap. Also, difficult to raise and lower. The cooking grill itself is also not nearly as good. It's all marketing, I'm afraid. I think Weber wants you to buy the larger version of the grill. Even so, I still prefer this to other small grills.
I'm very disappointed as I've had Weber grills in the past. They've been awesome! But this one seems to have issues with heating up. It often runs only up to 200°. It's very hard to grill with the temperature so low. I worked with customer service and it's still having that issue.
