(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Having spent a bit of time with a typical grill at our vacation rental, I decided to go premium with the home grill. I was particularly impressed with the coherent assembly manual. The captive fasteners made assembly quick and enjoyable. Since then, I happily grill several times a week. The uniform heat and flat grill surfaces turn out some of the best food that I've ever made. The battery-driven igniter is a great feature and the grease pan design is pure genius. Many thumbs up on this one!
Easy assembly, excellent profile and appearance. Have purchased several grills over the past 40 years. Researched Weber products along with others, the money is well spent on this product. Even cooking, easy clean up. Have already recommended to family and friends.
Assembly was about a 3-hour job and required some attention to detail, such as making sure a given bracket was pointing up or using the long screw in one instance instead of one of the 3-dozen short screws. Detail-oriented folks will not be troubled. Our open-box product from Walmart did not include printed instructions. We had to look up the instructions on the internet. I suspect assembly would have been easier if we had been provided a printed assembly guide. Personally I do not need 3 burners and I like that the side shelves fold down. (We are using this at a vacation property where we need to put it away at times.)
Needed to replace my three burner with something smaller and this grill just fits the bill perfectly. The build was easy, less than an hour all you need are simple tools to do the job. I then made some great steaks with it two hours later. This grill has enough surface area to handle most grill needs for a family.
I've been wanting to spend my money on one of these and it was the BEST decision ever. (We had purchased a charbroil 2 years ago for $300 and within 6 months the igniter was shot and after just 2 summers of cooking the charbroil heat basket was rotted) It was very simple to put together. It is very well made and sturdy I've read a lot of reviews abouth this Weber and like them I agree that this grille heats up fast and evenly. The igniter is quiet and quick. My husband was surprised that the grille took less than 5 minutes to reach 400 even when it was freezing here in New England. The temperature stayed constant. We are going to enjoy this Weber for some time. Looks like we'll be doing some winter grillin
Very solid and sturdy grill. You can immediately feel the difference from the low end priced grills. It is packed so solid it could survive a trip to Mars so don't worry about shipping to your home. One person can put it together in a couple of hours. Directions are mostly pictures but are easy to follow and make sense. They will even highlight certain parts to make sure you install them correctly vs backwards. Has the Rolls Royce of electric starters. Time will tell if the grill stands up to our Buffalo weather and if it is worth the extra money but it looks like it clearly stands a chance. I have cooked on it a number of times so far and am not disappointed in how it performs at that.
We purchased our first Weber gas grill in the 1990s and it was the predecessor model to the spirit E-210. We had many years of service from the first model and hope to get many from our current grill. We live in a northern state that gets a lot of snow and we use our grill year-round. Weber gas grills are very easy to maintain and replace parts. Furthermore, my wife and I had four kids and never had an issue with the two burner grill not being large enough, even when we had guests.
I really like the grill. The single bad feature is the "hook" you are supposed to hang your gas tank from to enable the gas gauge. Terrible design. Extremely difficult. I cut a piece of wood to fit under the cabinet since the hole you have in floor of cabinet won't hold a gas tank. The grill is great - the hook feature to hang gas tank from is stupid.
The grill is very well made of quality materials. The lid is somewhat hard to raise up for me as I am short. The thing I don't like is they made a bracket on the inside of the storage area to hang the propane tank. I guess they never tried to lift a heavy propane tank up onto a little hanger brackett while crawling inside the storage area. They should have just made the bottom of the storage area flat instead of having a huge hole in there that the tank slides right through to the ground. Very poor design especially for older people with arthritis and back trouble. Other than that, it is a very nice grill and it cooks very evenly.
Arrived within 3 days of order even via site to store option. - Leary of the price but great warranty and have had family friends say life of the grill will pay for its self - Simple to assemble - After assemble did find a leak in the regulator hose - possibly from propane tank but Weber asked for nothing except where to send replacement part and asked that I ship back the old one - did let it warm up & took about 15 minutes to get to 500 degrees in 32 degree weather.
