This is my first Weber grill and is of much greater quality than other, cheaper, grills I have bought at Wallyworld in the past. Easy to put together from the box and shipped right to my door for free. The grill heats up nicely and is easy to clean since it burns away anything left behind. I highly recommend spending the extra money for this Weber grill.
I'm enjoying my new Spirit 310 grill. I put it together myself, which was easy due to the clear instructions. The BILT video instructions were fantastic to follow and replay as needed. The grill is sturdy and well built. I'm still learning to adjust my temps and cook times because this grill maintains it heat much better than cheaper grills of my past. I'm enjoying the grill very much and plan to use it very often this upcoming grilling seasons.
I had purchased a new Char Broil grill but it had too many design flaws, so I worked with Lowe's, returned it and purchased the Weber Spirit E-310. I like doing mechanical things, so I was glad it wasn't put together. I was amazed with the quality of everything that went into the grill. From the fasteners, to the wheels to the heat tents. Everything is absolutely first class. This grill solved the three design issues I had with the Char Broil. 1. The gas tube that lights the other burners is in the back where it should be, so it doesn't burn your hands. 2. The gas tubes and heat tents are good size so you get even heating. and 3. The grill itself is heavy duty and adds to the even heating. Overall, an excellent grill that I love using.
I bought this grill because it has a cast fire box. My last grill had a steel fire box an disintegrated before my eyes. The assembly was relatively easy without any cursing. I cooked on this twice and was happy with the results. Hope it last longer than my last grill. The door had a dent in it that was replaced by Weber in a timely manner, no charge.
Purchased for my father as a gift. I was the first to use it, and it cooked to my expectation. I have been using pellet grills for the last 3 years, and this grill inspired me enough to look at the 3 burner genesis model for myself. Years of flare-ups lead me to the pellet grills. This did flare some, but it took 6 ribeyes and 2 NY strips to get it to flare. Very impressed with the weber product, and the reviews are right on. It does cost some, but if the longevity is there, it's a no brainer in my eyes.
Let me begin by sharing the kind of customer service Weber offers. My grill was delivered to my home. Upon assembling it we noticed the right side of the lid was cracked. I didn't want to take the assembled grill back to Walmart with the large box so I contacted Weber about it and had a new lid shipped to my door 3 days later. Right before using my grill for the first time, I carefully inspected the coated grill grates (something I should have done when assembling the grill). I noticed 3 shiny spots on one grate that didn't appear to be coated like the rest of the grates. I contacted Weber again and with an apology had another set of grates shipped to my front door. I have never encountered this kind of customer service. Weber is absolutely amazing. Besides its overall performance, this grill has a lot of "little things" that make the grill a great buy. The wheels and frame are super solid. What sits in the propane tank (besides the tank) is well thought-out. The battery-powered ignition unit works excellently and it in a logical location opposite the propane tank). There is also a good deal of useable space to store additional grease catcher pans, a grill brush, and a number of other small accessories. I also love the gas meter feature to which the propane tank attaches. It shows an approximation for how much gas remains and isn't hard to attach. I have read comments to the contrary but I found the attachment very intuitive and simple. Weber also provides an instrument for safely lighting the grill with a match. I'm glad I went with the 3-burner grill (e-310) over the 2-burner grill (e-210). It provides more grilling space and grate surface area. I am able to cook a lot more items at a time and I can use a variety of different heating. Speaking of that, this 3-burner grill also provides faster heating and more control for direct and indirect cooking zones. And the grates are super solid. Wow. They heat up quickly, stay hot, and cook food beautifully. I haven't found the grates difficult to clean at all. In fact, unlike the other gas grills I have previously owned, cleaning this grill is not complicated. There are instructions on how to clean the lid (if needed), how to quickly and easily clean the sides, and how to clear out the grease pan--which, in my opinion, is genius compared to how many other grills use a small can or call upon the consumer to use an empty soup can. I spent weeks shopping the various grill brands and options. I got everything I needed and wanted with this grill. I compared cheaper grills (and I have owned cheaper grills in the past). They are (and were) fine. But this grill is much more than fine. True, it came at a cost as it is more expensive than other units. But the construction, the performance, the quality of its components, and the customer service (AND warranty) have been more than enough (for me) to pull the trigger on this unit. I love it.
The Weber Spirit E-310 which I just received and put together is a great long-lasting grill. This one replaces another Weber I have had for many years. I only replaced the grate once and the flavorizer bars once. I live in a very humid area where things usually rust quickly so my replacement grate was the aluminum one I got on the Weber website and it is still useable. We cook outside on the grill all year long and frequently, so if you want a grill that lasts, this is the one. The only drawback I can find is that it is always priced higher than other similar models but the longevity probably makes up the difference.
1. Assembly instructions are very clear. 2. The grill is well designed a. The igniter mechanism appears to be super simple to repair/replace if/when necessary. b. The built-in propane tank meter was a major surprise! I've never had one before! c. The ceramic cast iron grills mean no future rusting (if maintained properly) d. The grill, as a whole, is a solidly-built piece of work. If it's anything like my last Weber grill, I'll have this one for 12 years also!
It's a Weber, so it's what I expected. Good quality, works fine and should be reliable for long term use. However it comes without a cover for the back and I don't care for this. I bought it on line from a local hardware house and did not notice this. After delivery, when I went back and checked the photos in the on line advertisement none of the pictures showed the rear of the grill. It was conveniently left out. Same with all the photos for various grills. Kind of a cheap shot on Weber's part to change this feature, but not point it out to the customer. Had I realized this in advance I probably would have opted for a different grill.
I have owned Weber grills for 30 years. This will be my 3rd, each lasting over 10 years. I take care of my Weber grills with a cover and under a roof on my patio. This new one has already rusted out the grates, flavor bars and grease drawer. The nobs do not turn fluently. The stainless tables on each side are getting rusty even though they say they are stainless. Customer service is excellent and are always willing to replace parts under warranty.
