Generally satisfied, with a few gripes

Vince2890 August 9, 2026

I've had this grill for a month now and I'm pretty happy with it. This is my second Genesis, and the last one lasted 15 years, with a few replacement parts. This one seems good, but only time will tell if it will last as long. However I do have 3 complaints about it. The first is the finish of the stainless steel. It is very hard to get and to keep clean. I wish the quality was better. Also, the side panels are really much too short, and thus the wiring from the lighter is completely exposed to my dog. And finally, Weber really cheaped out by not supplying the tank scale by default. I had to order one and install it. These complaints aren't deal breakers, but they are irritants.

Genesis E-315 Gas Grill (Liquid Propane)

Jim9175 July 12, 2026

Overall I think the grill will than meet my needs once it is up and running. Unfortunately when I bought it it was missing several key components. Weber has been excellent about supplying those parts free of charge but I keep finding things missing. I haven't actually been able to use it yet. The store sold it to me as is but, considering that it is unusable in its current state it should have never been on the floor for sale.

Quality has gone down

My 10 year old Genesis S310 was a better quality grill

Horrible customer service and quality control

Unhappy in Door County July 25, 2026

I purchased this grill through Lowe's. Upon opening the box, it was apparent that one of the main pieces of the frame was severely bent and could not be used. Lowe's was useless and referred me to Weber. After being cut off on the customer support line three times, 19 emails, and over seven weeks from ordering the grill we finally received a replacement grill part so that we could assemble it. The grill itself was fine after assembly, but the service received by Weber was abominable. Not even an apology.

What happened to "good old quality" ?

ME1959 June 18, 2026

Bought a Genesis E-315 grill to replace my older Genesis . Where do I begin? First did you know this unit has gone up in price some $300 and is made with a cheap metal that comes with the two (left & right) panels missing to only allow critters to find an easy route in but also expose the system's wiring to moisture and sore appearance with the wires exposed. Next, we purchased a 100 dollar cover that specifically for all E-300 series Genesis and that also did not go to the ground further leaving rain/moisture.

DANGEROUS

DO 99 July 6, 2026

The problem with the unit is the location of the propane tank. It is very difficult to install the bank on the internal hook. The tank weighs almost 40 lbs and it has to be lifted with one hand and twisted on to the hook. It is a dangerous procedure

Serious Design Flaw

Anonymous June 18, 2026

The burners work great but there is a serious design flaw regarding the propane tank placement. I cannot get enough leverage to raise a full tank and put it on the scale. @ **#+%:! Also, the scale should have been included with the grill

Surface rust

Wilsonz August 26, 2026

Bought this grill specifically for the high grade steel. Have always had cheaper grills that rusted out and was ready to spend good money on one that would last. I keep it covered and under a porch as to not be hit directly by weather. I'm 6 months in and already developing surface level rust on the sides and interior. Dissapointed, as I've seen this model from 15 years ago be left unattended outdoors with no cover and show zero signs of rust. Quality has degraded.

I wish I had gone with a different brand

Bill Garrett August 28, 2026

It's doesn't work. Part is on back order. I got a grill cleaner as compensation but since the grill doesn't work ...

Terrible, disaapointing

jrc1000 July 16, 2026

This is my first time purchasing a Weber grill, and I chose Weber specifically because of its strong reputation for quality and for standing behind its products and warranty. I want to outline the timeline of my experience so far: June 20 (Father's Day): I decided to treat myself to what I hoped would be the last grill I would ever need to purchase. The store did not have the model in stock, so they placed an order. June 25: I picked up the grill from the store. June 26 (Friday): I unboxed the grill and discovered that the front frame was damaged. I contacted Weber support immediately. The representative verified that this was shipping/packaging damage and ordered a replacement front frame, and I was told it would arrive in approximately 5–6 business days. June 29 (Monday): I received an email confirming that the part had been ordered and would be shipped via FedEx 2‑day shipping. July 4 (Saturday): Having received neither the part nor any tracking information, I contacted support again. I was told at that time the part was out of stock and there was no information on when it would be available. I was also told my case would be escalated to the “concerned team” and that I would be contacted within 24–48 business hours. July 7 (Tuesday): After not hearing back from anyone, I again reached out to customer support. I was told, once more, that the part is out of stock, that there is no ETA, and that my case would again be escalated and I would hear something within 24–48 business hours. July 9 (Thursday): I receive an email that they still do not have an ETA on the replacement part. As of today, it has been 21 days since I first reported the damage and opened a support case, and I still have no replacement part and no clear plan or time frame for resolving this issue. I have paid $1,000 for the grill and a cover, and what I have is a pile of unassembled parts in my garage. Every day I cannot assemble this grill, there is an increasing risk that something will get misplaced, scratched, or damaged simply because it is in the way and cannot be used or stored properly. This experience has been extremely disappointing, especially as a first‑time Weber customer. I chose Weber because I believed I was paying a premium for quality and for a company that stands behind its products. Instead, I have a damaged, unusable grill, no replacement part, no estimated date for a resolution, and repeated assurances of “escalation” that have not resulted in any real progress. My support case# 01680794 in case someone at Weber cares… I'm sure the are very sorry and appreciate my patience.
