This is our second Weber Genesis. The first one lasted between 20 and 25 years. And I could still buy parts for it. This is why I love these girls. They cost a little more but they last way, way longer than the less expensive grills that you can't buy parts for 5 years later. Also I was missing a couple parts when it was delivered by The Big Box store I bought it from. They had me call Weber and Weber took care of me quickly and without any hassle. This is a great Grill and this is a great company.
We have always purchased Weber grills over the years and this latest grill is perfect for our needs. The quality has increased and we believe that Weber is focused on maintaining an exterior finish for all types of weather. Very pleased with our purchase.
After 20 years, it was time for an upgrade to my outdoor cooking experience. I have been a long tine Weber customer. Like Stainless steel on the grill, looks like it's be easy to keep clean. Really love the power and capability of the new grill. Fires up quickly, cooks great. At this point very satisfied, looking forward to a long relationship with my new toy.
I have been a BBQ fan for more than 50 years and do a cook on occasion two or three times a week all year long with propane and when the weather is not snowing or raining and I have time I will light up the charcoal grill. Originally I used to buy the least expensive gas bbq grill and would be lucky to get two or three years out of it. Then 11 years ago I got my first Weber an EP-310. This was probably the best gas bbq I ever had. A few years ago the burners started to get a bit wonky and with a phone call to Weber's 800 number within a week I had three new burners in my hand. This older grill is outside and as it did not always get covered it had developed a significant amount of rust and corrosion. It's time had come and I just had to wait for the latest and greatest Weber with the same dimensions as the EP-310 to go on sale. I now own and use my new Weber GENESIS E-315. The only big difference is the cast iron grill - I think the cast iron is a little easier to keep clean. In the last three weeks I have cooked: steak, chicken wings, chicken legs and thighs, lamb chops, salmon, a beer can chicken and for dinner this evening a marinated pork chops.
After years of buying cheap BBQs because that's what my wife wanted, I finally bought a Weber Genesis E-315 which was recommended to me by my brother (10 yrs old) and my neighbour (22 yrs old). Very happy I did. Food cooks evenly and very few (if any) flare ups, and it was easy to assemble. Unfortunately, no burnt food so my wife is less thrilled.
I really like the grill. It ignites, cooks and looks great. And was a good value. I previously owned the E-310 which was about 15 years old. It was better built, with solid sides and what seemed to be higher gauge steel. I left the cover off the new grill one night and rain came into the case through the open sides. You definitely have to keep the cover on when not in use.
Nice grill. Assembly was fairly simple, I used the “BILT” app along with the paper copy for assembly. I had never heard of the BILT app till now, worth downloading the app, made assembly easier. Fit and finish is nice. Heats up quickly and fairly evenly. Wheels are a high quality, moves easily and smoothly. A couple of personal preference things that I don't like but aren't game changers. The side trays don't fold down giving it a smaller footprint when stored. I have a collection of rotisserie frames from different grills over the years and none will fit. Seems Weber's lid design is unique and forces their customers to purchase a Weber branded rotisserie at a much higher price than the universal products.
Bought a Genesis E-315 grill to replace my older Genesis . Where do I begin? First did you know this unit has gone up in price some $300 and is made with a cheap metal that comes with the two (left & right) panels missing to only allow critters to find an easy route in but also expose the system's wiring to moisture and sore appearance with the wires exposed. Next, we purchased a 100 dollar cover that specifically for all E-300 series Genesis and that also did not go to the ground further leaving rain/moisture.
The burners work great but there is a serious design flaw regarding the propane tank placement. I cannot get enough leverage to raise a full tank and put it on the scale. @ **#+%:! Also, the scale should have been included with the grill
I like a great looking grill to compliment my outdoor patio and cooking area and was more than disappointed about the openings under the table / trays. These openings reveal the wiring and hose which is unsightly and negates a finished look. The also creates openings that allow water etc into the base which on my previous base (same model) kept very dry. After it was delivered I called the store back and said you missed installing two panels and they said it was complete. I don't appreciate that looks was something that was not given a second thought, trust me presentation is everything and Weber failed that test.
