Weber Summit 600 Series Premium Grill Cover

Good quality at a great price

I just purchased our 3rd cover for our Summit 600 in 10 years so I figure 5 years per cover is a pretty good return for a cover that receives 6-8 hours of full per day. Weber products are, generally, of outstanding quality and this is just another example.

Our Weber grill cover is 5 years olds. I’m finally thinking of replacing it. Only because one of the Velcro straps broke off from being in the sun. No holes or tears. It’s blown away many times in tornadoes, but I always find it.

This is replacing the original one which I bought with the grill 6 years ago. That one was much thicker and insulated but over the years it cracked. This one is thinner and won’t crack. Fit perfectly. Can’t validate it’s long term use because it’s new. So far so good.

For the most part the cover does what it is suppose to do, cover the grill. The only problem I'v had is its faded and 3 of the Velcro straps came off. I believe I have had the grill cover for about 5 years. I guess you could say its normal wear and tear.

I normally do not write reviews however after I read the response from Weber stating that their covers normally will not crack or fade, I wanted to share my expereince. I have covers for both the Summit 670 and Performer grills and they have both have cracked, became extremely brittle and shrunk in size making it very difficult to fit over the grills. To be fair, both covers are over two years old and appear to be made very well but based on my experience, they have not lasted more than two years. Would I buy another Cover made by Weber, Yes but only because I want to make sure that the covers fit well and protect my investment in the grills. Overall, better than most covers but they will crack with age.

Has a tendency to blow off (I live in a windy area). It should have Velcro near the bottom of the skirt to keep it from becoming a parachute. I remembered why I had stopped using my old cover shortly after installing my new one.

The new grill covers are not nearly as thick as what they used to be. I purchased this cover to replace my 8 year old tattered one, and was very disappointed in how thin they have become. Granted, the new cover has a 3 yr warrantee, so if after the winter, freeze, and thaw it doesn’t hold up, I know what I’ll be doing. I would have to own the cover throughout all seasons to determine if the thinness is a problem, especially pulling it off the grill in the middle of winter when it is frozen stiff. Hopefully it holds up since I use my grill quite often in the winter. I like that the ends are adjustable with the Velcro closures. I use this on my Summit Platinum D4 because I want the extra width and length to cover the entire grill, wheels and all. In the middle of winter, when the cover is stiff, the extra width helps because it is easier to remove without catching on my side plate and side tray. I will update my review after a year of use.

I bought this cover 2 years ago. The first year the velcro would no longer work. The second year, it ripped. See pic. Definitely not the Weber quality I am accustomed to.

Material was not what I would expect from a Weber product. Past grill covers were made with a durable heavy material that would last for years. I returned the product.
