We had our Drive X RV for several years now and it has never let us down especially traveling through the Canadian Maritimes, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario. In the US states of ND/SD our one bar service was booster to a reliable three bars! Never leave home without our WeBoost!!
I purchased a weBoost for my car/truck and was happy with the results. I then bought the Drive X for my RV. The signal meter app I downloaded for free shows a 100x improvement in signal strength. I haven't dropped a call yet.
We purchased the 4G-RV for our trip to Alaska from SC. That's 12 states, 2 provences and 1 territory in Canada. We use our booster for both Verizon and AT&T. Currently we're outside of Fairbanks, AK. Using our booster we can use AT&T Homebase for both internet and wireless home phone. If a signal can be had, our booster brings it in. Works even while we're traveling
Packaging could be better. Lots of parts lose in box. Unit is easy to set up. Definitely increased signal strength. Trying to mount higher to see if it will get more signal strength.
I finally got the chance to install X Drive at my camp site, it is about 20 miles from the nearest cell tower and is surrounded by mountains on three sides. Drive X boosted reception from one to three bars, which is more than satisfactory. My medical equipment performed flawlessly.
We purchased this for our RV because more times than not, we have a hard time getting signal. It definitely helps the computer some, but it doesn't help our phones at all. Not sure what the deal is there, but am happy that it at least helps the computer.
I installed my weboost 4g x rv two weeks ago and now I'm at a RV park outside of Pulaski New York with only one bar when the weboost in on I get 2-3 bars and can't connect to the internet I know my not in the best of covage but though I would have better covage. I will need to check out at an other trip and see I know you make a good product unit but I will have to see on my next trip
Install was pretty easy and straightforward on my Class A Dutch Star. I used the old TV antenna mount that I can crank up and down for extra height (I do not use the TV antenna). The inside antenna is on the kitchen counter, about a total of 15-20 feet from the outside antenna. When I first powered it up.. I went from about 118db to 95db-89db which is great (3-4 bars of LTE). I could make phone calls no problem. But checking basic emails was not happening, and loading any web page would stall immediately. Periodically, the signal would completely disappear (no signal), for about 2-3 hours.. then back to 3-4 bars of LTE. No oscillation according to the main unit (which says it will display a red light if this happens). I guess I expected to be able to load pages or check emails easily, especially with 3-4 bars of LTE. But being able to at least make a phone call if it's an emergency is still good to have. I boondock a lot in Moab and remote areas of Colorado, and usually have spotty signal with just the phone. Not sure if moving my outside antenna would make a difference, but I plan on making a higher extension for the crank antenna to place it another 12 inches above the old unused batwing, just for some off chance it was interfering with the weboost. (This is for the newest version of the RV model)
I had the outside antenna professionally installed. And . connected the other elements myself. When done plugged it in and got the green light so that I knew that it was installed properly. When I turn it on and off I get very little difference in my cell service, at most one bar.
Does not work. Installed per directions. No signal increase. Camper TV just buffers. All cell phones show two bars so there is some service. Turn weboost on and still only two bars. Had to turn wifi off just to be able to type this review. Too expensive to not work.
