Yep, its a dumbbell
The grip is knurled, as weight grips probably should be. The ends are hexagonal to reduce rolling and a rubber material so they don't 'clink' together or scratch floors. Its difficult to imagine what more you could be looking for in a dumbbell. Most of the negative reviews appear to be complaints about the shipping process rather than the dumbbell itself.

You are not dumb when you buy these dumdells.
I have been training forb54 years.I love these dumbells.The rubber cassing protrcts the floor if you drop it . Also the handles a bevelled for greater comfort and easier to hold. I bought a complete set from 5lb ,8lb 10lb ,12lb ,15 lb.20lb all the way to 40lb.

They are awesome, well made. I would like to get 20's and 45's but they are out due to Covid-19. I'm waiting for an email so I can complete my home dumbbell set. Great product at a great price.

The item was more inexpensive than anywhere else, and I did extensive research…plus the item arrived quicker than other place was guaranteeing!!!

Very well made dumbbell. Only downside is that it does have a strong rubber smell, which might bother some people. Additionally it leaves black shavings on the floor and its hard to clean

Happy with it
Arrived on time, has slight scent to it but not terrible. Have not weighed item to confirm weight but it was at a good price. Was placed freely in the box so there is some damage from shipment, other than that it is good.

Ordered two of these, one week apart. The first one was as expected; brand new in appearance. Second one smelled (and still smells) like smoke (cigarette) and looked used (faded and worn edges). It's a dumbbell so not the biggest deal but the smell is gross and unsure why it looks used since I paid brand new price.

OK, but not great.
The dumbbell leaves black residue wherever it's placed. Other than that, it's perfectly acceptable.

Not good at all.
2 day shipping turned into 2 weeks. When I received my items they were damaged. Also, every time I spoke to a Walmart online chat associate they gave me a different answer pertaining to why I didnt received my order every time. I wont order from Walmart again. They lost my trust and made my order very difficult.

Good Weights, Bad Quality Control.
Great weights. However, the grip is totally different on each on one of the pair. One weight grip is VERY aggressive, and the other one you can barely feel. This makes them very awkward to use.
