For the price, this thing is worth every penny. Currently using for bench press. 310 lbs capacity may be less than what other, more expensive bars are claiming. However, this bar will be a great fit for most beginner/intermediate home gyms. Bar weighs 45lbs as advertised.
Perfect beginners bar or bar for light work. Came in good condition with decent bearing movement. Can’t beat the price,
As others say the packaging left something to be desired but the bar is intact, undamaged and I got both collars so no complaints really. It's big, it's heavy, it works. Is it a high end gym bar? No it cost 30 bucks and I can do everything with it that I can do with a gym bar except exceed the weight limits. I'm 59, I'm not going heavy anymore so that's not even a issue. For home use and for 30 bucks I think it's great.
Great value. Not a big capacity but has the feel of a higher end bar. Way better than I was anticipating.
Mine arrived in perfect shape the sleeves have some lateral play which make the bar noisy, more on that later, and not much spin although you could probably open up the end caps and lubricate the bearings. The knurl is passive and I used no chalk. I am not sure I would use this bar for Olympic lifts and/or dropping from overhead. Background: have been lifting off and on for over 40 years. Use: Powerlifting Equipment used: Rogue Monster Lite 1/2 rack with Rogue Urethane Plates Comparison: Rogue Ohio Bar, not Ohio Power bar, I was looking at picking up one in SS for $450 but figured I would give this cheap bar a go. Squat: the collars are set wider then the Ohio bar which makes walk outs much easier, but also makes the loadable portion of the sleeve shorter for those that are doing 4 plates or more. The center knurl is good enough that you can position the bar lower on your back and feel safe that it won't slip. OHP: the grip diameter is wider than the Ohio bar and knurl won't tear you up no issues BP: the wider grip makes a big positive difference here but since the plates sit farther out from your midline your pecs get hit at a slightly different angle. Racking the bar is great. DL: I did not like the bar at all for this too much play and too loud but for $30 definitely serviceable. BB Curls: works like a charm. Conclusion this bar is a great buy if it arrives in good shape. I took it easy to build up confidence in the bar so no issues at 225lb.
Weider Olympic bar was sold at a very reasonable price. So I had to go with this brand. The max weight capacity is decent as well. Most of my home workouts weight range is between 215-250lbs. It was a good choice for my first Olympic bar.
The product I wanted was available, easy to order and the product came as described, and turned out to be better quality than i thought for the cost. The only inconvenience was that it arrived late (i was notified about the delay), the packaging was damaged, and there were some scuffs on the product. I liked the product so i did not return or replace it. Overall happy with the experience.
decent cheap bar with aggressive tooling marks on the ends so your weights wont slide around as easily. does NOT come with spring clamps for the ends like the pics show. well worth the price paid though.
For the price point this deal looked to good to be true. The delivery itself was bad and bar was barely hanging in the packaging. One clamp was already missing and bar had rust all over inner packaging. Important part here is that this bar already has lower weight limit and with its quality compromised its hard to trust that you will be safe using this bar. Walmart customer service was great and refunded the money but I wanted fellow shoppers to know this.
Trash bar. you get what you pay for except it’s a waste of money. came broke and damaged and rusted. Totally trash of a budget bar
