Weider Standard Hammertone Weight Plate, 50 Pounds

I orered a first set of two for checking them out. Found them delivered in excellent condition without any chips or other types of careless packing or shipping. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the 10lbs/plate but am happy with them. I ordered a second set and got a pleasant re-run of the first batch. Was gonna order a set of the 25lb'ers but those were gone! A real bargin this time of the year.

Great finish and nice look. At a 2.5 lb weight, there's no need for finger grips nor holes (e.g. CAP fitness) and these slide easily onto the end of your 1" dumbbells to give you a little bit more growth in your sets as you progress. If you're looking for some very light weights for dumbbells, then switch over to the singular 5, 8 or 10lb hex coated (or pretty colored ones ladies) dumbbells. But if you're looking to add 5 lb to a dumbbell set, then this are just perfect. The finish is nice and subdued. They may not match your CAP fitness or other sets, but hey, buy 4 of them and enjoy lifting the additional 10 lbs!

Excellent price. However, they're not really hammertone. They're painted black, which is not a problem. I'd certainly buy them again and in other weights too. Fast shipping is another buying factor, and Wal-Mart delivered.

OK for the price. Paint is already flaking off a bit after only a day of use. Some rough edges as well. They are larger in outer diameter and width than some other plates I have. Less dense metals used I guess. Overall, for the price, they are OK.

one was 48 lbs the other was 49 lbs. if they were like 49 and 49.5 I'd probably give 5 star. i wasn't expecting super tight tolerances though. still decent for the price. Overall i think it will work fine for me and i might get 2 more if they stay around 1$ per lb

great product. ordered the pair. I had previously ordered another pair of 50lbs. This time how ever I got two plates which are different size. Although they are both 50lbs so it is still 50 either way you look at it, it's a little weird that I got one small 50lb weight thats just thicker and one bigger skinnier one. I am a little disappointed because its good to have them the same size for fitment purposes but it will work since they weight the same. As they say 50lbs of cotton is 50 lbs. I did attach 2 images so anyone can see what I mean.

Decent slim profile plates, fit my standard threaded bar as expected. Slightly underweight at 49.2 lbs each, but close enough for government work. At least they were both the same amount off, in the same direction. As others have mentioned, some paint chipping and box material stuck to the exposed metal. If you're going to use these plates in-hand, and not leave them on a bar, that could be a problem. Handling of the product is apparently not great as damage in the box seems pretty common. But, for the price and apparent consistency they serve my purpose well.

These weights work well, but as soon as you take them out of the package they start chipping paint everywhere! When you use these weights, you get paint chips all over your body, the floor, and any other nearby surfaces (like your yoga mat). I would not recommend these weights for that reason. I even had a paint chip fall in my eye while doing a floor workout.

I gave this item 2 stars because it did not fit my standard dumbell bar. I currently have the adjustable dumbbells with the screw on collar. Structually it's nothing wrong with the plates, so if your bar is smaller, it would be a 5 star product.
