This one gets the job done and has so many options for working out for someone like me who needs to take it easy to someone who desires more of a challenge. The gliding seat is a bit loud but is no big deal. Set up is quick very easy as you are only required to add one of the base end bars with three screws then both the pull up attachment at top and leg press plate with simple stick in L pins! Besides that the rest is fully assembled and ready for action! Overall great value!!!
I have to admit I was hesitant until I read the reviews, which were basically all positive, so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did!!! This machine is simple but does the job. It has helped me tremendously ease my way back to my pre surgical workout regimen. Easy assembly (according to my boyfriend) and very easy to use. If I had to say one negative thing about it id say adjusting the bench can be a little tough but honestly this could be due to arthritis I have in my wrist. Overall great machine and can't be the price!
This machine is better than going to the gym and it cost half of what i was paying to go to a gym and deal with idiots. I have had it for three weeks now and can already see results compared to going to the gym for three year. I would highly recommend this for anyone trying to get into shape.
I was in a class at a gym with this type of machine and they ended the class. This was the only exercise routine I've stuck with so I bought this one. I am very pleased with the quality compared to the gym machine. I found videos on YouTube and I'm back in business.
This is the heavy duty model of this machine, Weider sells it for a couple of hundred more on their web site than it is priced here. The machine comes with a 2 year warranty when you register it on Weider. It is a better value than the higher priced machines from Total Gym, and you can stream the workout videos on Youtube. Don't let this opportunity pass you by.
This does the exact same thing a Total Gym does, except at a fraction of the price. Weider includes the Pullup Bar and Squat Stand. You have to buy them separately with Total Gym. Assembly is super easy. I can assure you that it will hold 260 lbs without being the least bit rickety. it mimics anything you can do on a cable machine. Very durable, by my high standards.
I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but this machine is very sturdy and works well. I put it together myself with no problems. The bench is well-padded and comfortable. the resistance is good and I am using Youtube videos to learn different techniques for working out. I definitely can feel a difference in muscle soreness after using this. It is rather long and can be stored under a bed but not sure I want to go to the trouble every day. Overall, a very good value.
I must say that this machine is well built and will last awhile but make sure you buy the 5000 model that comes with the free puzzle mat for 129.00. It's the same machine for 30 dollars less and you get a 6 pc. mat to go with it. I called Weider and tried to find out the difference between the Ultimate and the 5000 and I kept getting different answers so I ordered both. Both machines were exactly the same. I enjoy this machine and with a 2 year warranty from Walmart for just 12.43 how could you go wrong. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
I have tons of exercise equipment so I just bought this for a few simple exercises I couldn't really do currently. Specifically, modified pull-ups pull-ups because I have tendinitis in my shoulder so building up to normal pull-ups was difficult. But I've found that that I end up doing many more exercises with this. You can find a way to work pretty much every muscle with this in one way or another. For the price (barely more than a decent weight bench), this is probably the most valuable piece of equipment I own besides free weights. The only "con" I can think of is that getting on and off of it took a little getting used to.
It's not often that something is worth more than what you paid for it. Is it as good as a Total Gym costing 5 or 10 times as much? I've never used a Total Gym so I can't say. Is it worth more than the $140 I paid for it? Absolutely! Very sturdy for my 5' 8", 135 lb frame. I can see that the workout options are almost endless. Before my knees went bad, I was a runner - I need to do something that I can just put on shoes and I'm working out. Just won't exercise if I have to get in a car and drive to a gym. Plus the monthly cost! And this is a workout - if I really work. I have to stop because I'm exhausted. Will it hold up over time? Will I continue to enjoy it as much as I do and be consistent? I honestly can't say at this point. But will it always be worth trying it for $140? Absolutely. I figure if I love it, keep using it and it eventually wears out, then I may go for the more expensive Total Gym. But who knows, maybe I'll just pay another $140 and get another Weider.
