I am a senior 68 I am thrilled I bought this workout bench, my muscles left me awhile back and now it is time to get them back. Harder to get out of the car those groceries are a lot heavier. Does this sound like you well do something about it if you are healthy enough take charge of your fitness and this product really will bring your strength back but you have got to get out of that chair and just do it. Good luck .
Great for the price. Sturdy. Fairly easy to put together. It took me about an hour. It is well made. I don't lift really heavy weights. But the seat feels secure. I wish the head had more angles though to lift up closer to 90 degrees. I will get good use out of it. Pick up was easy.
Excellent bench. Instructions were the first I ever read that made sense, Thank You. Took 1.5 hours to assemble. I suggest using a screw gun and the proper metric wrench's. the sheet metal screws are a bear with a screw driver and an adjustable wench will make assemble garbage. I used the correct wrenches, sockets and screw gun. 10mm, 12mm, 17mm. I originally purchased the Weider 225 bench for $49.00. Walmart repeatedly kept sending the wrong one. Kept sending back. out of frustration I opted for this one. With the leg lift and arm pad for curls. it is many times better then a simple bench. Glad Walmart kept messing up the original order. Buy this heavy Duty all around bench. You will be glad you did. $ 200.00 might be a reach. but $97.00 is a NO BRAINER. Just buy it. Tryst me.
God quality product for the price. You can also get the next model up that has the bench press bars as part of the whole bench. Detachable preacher's platform is a nice feature. Very sturdy, well constructed. I'm six feet tall. And everything works well for me.
For those interested in enlarging arm and leg muscles, you better hurry before Walmart removes the 50% reduction on this item. It isn't only the price I am talking about. The quality and ease of use of this bench is the best I have ever experienced. The assembly is easy enough a 6 year old would be able to put this bench together. I have purchased thousands of dollars in merchandise from Walmart, but this bench is by far the best purchased I have ever made.
I wasnt expecting much from a under $100 weight bench but this one delivered the goods. Its very sturdy and feels stable in every position. I love all the options, leg extension, hamstring curl, preacher curl, incline and decline! It could have a little more padding but I'm more than happy with it's performance.
Alright its made well but it is long with the leg ex and curl fixture are fix to the bench so if you have a tight spot not the best...Also just so you know when its all the way up its not a right angle it has a incline so for shoulder press not so good if you want the support. It seems sturdy and i like its hight on the high side for a bench...i bought it over the computer i should of look at it in the store first... Think i would of got something different if i seen it..but its a good product..especially for the price...
I like the brand, it seems the vinyl is a more economical version of what I am used to seeing from them. I haven't had the set long, so I am not sure how the vinyl will hold up over time. When it came in the box, some of the weights caused various leg cushions to become misshapen. So, I had to contact the company to send replacements. I like the equipment overall, but my biggest complaint is that the part where you put your legs does not adjust. I am only 5' 3" and I have to try to slide up or down a little in order to use it comfortably. It also seems that the leg cushions that go behind your knees when you're seated are a little too short in width. When I use it, it makes me feel like part of my leg is hanging off. Overall, it's a pretty good buy for the money. I'm just praying for longevity so that I can get optimal use.
Bought by luck a month before lockdown, along with the bowflex 1099 dumbbells. I worked hard with this bench and am putting up 190 on those dumbbells when maxxing on bench press. This bench is NOT strong enough for that, it has a single welded joint holding the back bench to the frame, and it is round steel on top of round steel, so the strength of the joint to twisting is entirely in the welding. It now wobbles too much and I don't feel safe pressing that much. Other downsides: the decline is slightly too shallow, certainly not great for ab work, also not as much as I'd want for decline bench. The bench incline should be adjustable with one hand but there's a reinforcement around the bottom slots that makes this challenging and seems to serve no purpose. The assembly took significant time and I remember it being difficult, I think because the threads weren't fully tapped in several nuts and screw holes. The only reason for 3 stars is bc of the value. So much versatility for such a small cost, it's perfect or figuring out if you are really going to make lifting a long-term habit. I like the preacher curl pad enormously, the leg lifter would be cool if I could have found weights for it (lockdown), incline plus decline gives you so many options for lifting, and the bench is nice and long, supporting me at 6ft0in very comfortably.
I overall would not recommend this bench. Considering the price and all the extra features, I though this was a great deal. In the end, the extra features turned out to be lackluster gimmicks leaving only a sub quality bench that is barely usable. Leaving at 2 stars because it could be a cheap way to get a preacher/leg developer machine in your home gym, assuming you already have a better quality FID bench, but even then, not great. Here's the cons: - Does not go to 90 degrees or anywhere near it. Does not have real decline. The bench can go to a real decline, but there is no step for the back rest to adjuster to go into. The manufacture clearly had a reason not to include this extra step, so I wouldn't suggest going that low with it. - Integrated leg developer can't be easily removed, creating an awkward sitting position. I also squat up heavy dumbbells for chest presses and shoulder presses, but I couldn't do that with the leg developer in the way. - Seat and backrest are very unstable and even the included manual says not to use more than 50 lbs on dumbbell flys due to this lateral instability, information that wasn't included on this listing. I would not recommend doing bench dips or any other exercise where you put uneven pressure on the side of the seat or back rest. - Can't do situps or leg raises because the integrated leg developer and unstable seats. - Takes up a large amount of square footage compared to other benches and is pretty heavy/awkward to move. - Assembly is very long and requires many tools/pieces. From beginning to end, it took me 5 hours to assemble. Some people might be faster. Disassembly and getting it back in the box to return took another 2 hours. - Seat, backrest, and preacher pad had very cheap padding. It felt like cardboard with packing foam on-top. The preacher pad had indents from my elbows after one set of moderate weight. - Preacher yolk bar has no rotational pivot, it rotates in your hands. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it makes a lot of noise by rubbing against your palms - The 6 foam roller inserts came indented because they were used as padding to protect the metal pieces in the box. The indents in the foam due to this packaging choice never went away. - Foam rollers seemed very fragile. You will have to replace these eventually - Leg curl had limited range. I'm 6'0" tall and it was basically worthless to me. - Leg extension similarly was awkward because my feet would hit the bench's front horseshoe bar on the way down. I was able to mitigate this by placing rolls of towels under my knees to elevate my knees. - Questionable weight capacity. It's still not clear if it's 300 lbs or 610 lbs. But apparently 50 lbs on the sides of the bench Overall, the leg developer preacher are the only features that separate the bench, but each of them have issues. Considering other superior quality budget Olympic sized benches, I say the imperfect gimmick features don't make up for the inferior bench quality.
