Welch's is an American icon. It's just a great product for a good price. As I understand its been employee owned for quite a while now. I can make an very good strawberry jam, but it costs way more and is a real chore to make. So, Welch's is the obvious choice!
I'm not going to lie this is actually My husband favorite, and I didn't think much of it ar first-but on my God, it's SO good the strawberry flavor is sweet, fresh and just hits right. It spreads perfectly and tastes amazing on a toast or anything put you put it on. Now I totally understand why it's his favorite Definitely buying again!
This strawberry spread is the perfect partner in crime for peanut butter. It's sweet, smooth, and spreads easily without tearing up your bread (which is a very underrated quality). The strawberry flavor tastes fresh and fruity without being overly sugary. It makes a classic PB%26J that hits every single time, whether it's for lunch, a late-night snack, or a “I don't feel like cooking” dinner. Also, no judgment if you've eaten it straight off a spoon. We've all been there. Simple, delicious, and a pantry must-have.
The taste of this is hard to describe. It lacks that fake strawberry flavor other jellies usually have. The sweetness is just right when paired with peanut butter. I will definitely eat this until I am sick of it. It is delicious and the texture is soft but not sticky.
I was looking for a less expensive alternative to the big-name jam that I usually buy, so I took a chance on this product. The gamble paid off, and I'm very happy with the results. Great flavor, texture and just the right amount of sweetness. Not excessive or overpowering to my system. Tastes great on toast, paired with peanut butter and even in yogurt. The list goes on. Baked goods: cookies, tarts, etc. Bottom line: more product, less money, and a deliciously natural taste. It's a win-win! Highly recommend.
I'm not a fan of jelly but I love jam. This is jam that looks and acts like jelly until you give it a good stir. Stirring things up again. Taste snd texture (after stirring) is spot on. I've strayed many times but I always come back to the one I love.
I dont eat this (I dont like strawberry) but I buy at least three jars every month because my husband just loves it. He say's the taste is better and he loves the texture. He says other spreads get thick after they get cold in the fridge but this has a smoother texture like apple butter, he really appreciates that easy to spread texture.
We are extremely picky about our jelly/jam. I don't like any jams or jellies that taste like preservatives or chemicals. I honestly prefer homemade freezer jam as do my son %26 daughter. Living in Wisconsin fresh strawberries are a seasonal item %26 with that only available certain times if year. So making homemade strawberry freezer jam isn't always an option. We have tried sooo many various brands of jellies %26 jams many of them claiming to be "natural ingredients" %26 taste "just like homemade" NOT TRUE WHATSOEVER!! In our numerous attempts to find anything that truly actually tasted like homemade rather than chemicals %26 preservatives we finally came across Welch's Natural Strawberry Fruit Spread. IT IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! This is the ONLY brand %26 select product line that has a truly "natural" taste, as close to homemade freezer jam as one could possibly come. We love it!! Nothing else comes even remotely close. Way to go Welch's you achieved greatness!
No added sugar is great. But the taste %26 texture are off. This doesn't taste like strawberries at all %26 the texture is gummy. I bought a jar of Welch's grape at the same time, but we've yet to open it. I'm afraid it will not taste like grapes. Both jars will go in the trash.
Well, this was a fail for me. It tastes very processed, and I know it is, but I tried it because of the price. I definitely don't like the preserves because I don't like the large slimy strawberry texture with the crunchy seeds! Ugh! I will stay with my jam thank.
