Everything works as intended, no issues so far. Would recommend this notebook to anyone looking for a small light weight notebook. Easy to set up large monitor for home/desk work.

I don't play game but I sometimes modeling, make animation and cut videos. It's perfect for those needs. I also just love the screen ratio. I would say It is much better ratio than 16:9 once I'm used to it.

Starting the search for a new laptop, I knew I needed something very light because I travel a lot carrying also my work laptop, a Thinkpad T495. At first I thought a detachable like Microsoft surface would do the job. After I was checking 360 convertible laptops or sort of, like Microsoft Studio, Samsung Book, Dell xps and HP Elite Dragonfly. All excellent, powerful, elegant machines with their pros and cons. I saw many reviews but couldn't really decide which one would better suit my needs. That because I was greedy, wanting everything on a laptop. So I kept looking until I read about Thinkpad X1 Ti. I immediately knew, this was my laptop. A true and powerful thinkpad in extremely thin size. As soon as I started using the laptop, I was truly amazed. A single word to describe this laptop is innovation. Lenovo really created something wonderful. It's not only about the looks and the the premium materials used, nor the cutting edge characteristics. It is how Lenovo materialized all that in this product. There are plenty reviews analyzing and comparing its characteristics. Some people were not so happy with the keyboard, haptic feedback touchpad and camera. In my humble opinion, even if other laptops provide more on these characteristics, overall the king would still be the thinkpad, unless you are a Mac OS user.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this unit for a few weeks now. Going from a desktop keyboard to the laptop has probably been the hardest thing. And, it wasn't all that hard. The unit is a joy to have. Being disabled with chronic neuropathy, I can't carry much and have to change positions often. This thing doesn't feel much heavier then my ASUS Zen 10" tablet. The battery life is amazing. I must've easily used it for 5-6 hours before I got any warning about battery starting to get low 15%. And, that is with max brightness and no performance (read: power management) changes. All-in-all, this is a fantastic piece of kit!!!

The reason for not giving 5 stars was the fact that I am grateful we bought it weeks before needing to use it for school. The updates were seemingly never ending for the first few weeks of him familiarizing himself with it. But that is par for the course. I would buy it again!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has a good sized screen, is light weight and easy to use. However, this is my second machine in 2 weeks. The first one came with a speaker driver that did not work and could not be upgraded. The inconvenience caused by the lack of quality control is inexcusable.

Good product overall. However, within 3 days of having owned it, I got a pop-up telling me to restart in order to install microphone and camera updates. Once I did that, the speakers no longer worked. I had to pay money for software support to troubleshoot and update speaker drivers. I had just bought this laptop and already I was shelling out money for support! Once the speakers were fixed, the audio port no longer worked with my IPhone earbuds. The tech said I would need to test it with something else, like external speakers, to determine if the laptop has a hardware issue. I haven't done that yet. Also, I went to register the laptop online with Lenovo and their system said my serial number was invalid. After a lengthy hold waiting to speak with someone, i was told to send an email to the company, along with scanned copies of my receipt and the tag on my laptop that showed the serial number. That worked, but, again, Lenovo sells me a laptop with a serial number they don't even have in their system?! And then makes me do a bunch of extra work to prove I bought it?! One last beef. The fingerprint Touch ID pad is almost useless. It reads my thumbprint maybe one time in 5. They have a lot they could learn from Apple, which gets it every time. Other than that, I love the light weight and it's working just fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 13” X1 after using the 14” version for work. Loved the 14” X1, but it was not in stock. The problem with the 13” X1 is the screen size. The dimensions are like the the old 4:3 ratio tvs. Everything else about it is great though.
