I've gone through countless pairs of cheaper, synthetic gloves, they rip and tear and they just don't last. These leather gloves come at such a great price at Walmart, they're thick and durable and offer good protection when you're pulling tree, branches, or limbs with thorns, etc., in the garden. The black strap across the wrist at the back is adjustable and it works really well to keep debris from falling into the glove. I have slim hands, female, and I found that the Medium, while a little bit large, worked very well when I cinched in the strap. The Small size fit my slim hands better, but they stop just at the wrist, and I prefer to have that extra inch in the Medium to cover my wrist, so nothing can scratch me there. Great price, fantastic product.
Just what the yard doctor ordered. These are well made leather gloves that are more than adequate for general yard work around the property. The fit was excellent for me, and with a few coats of worked-in mink oil they're basically waterproof. However, I'd consider a bit heavier leather glove if you're dealing with briers, blackberries, or other such thorny plants. I'd recommend these gloves for light to medium duty work. - Happy gardening!
I really like being able to tighten them at the wrist. The gloves are good quality, %26 are long lasting. I keep one pair in my truck %26 one or two pairs for yard work. Feel great %26 can feel whatever I'm working on while still protecting my hands
My husband works very hard in his workshop and yard using heavy machinery and repairing them and needed quality leather gloves. When these arrived, he wore them right away and told me they very nice and well made.
For over a decade I purchase gloves that are all leather and usually a size smaller. I work mink oil into the material and stretch it to a proper fit. These gloves (as thin as they are ) protect wonderfully! I will continue to use them for farm work and welding...mechanics... you name it!
I can't say enough about how much I love these gloves! From everything I do here on the homestead from chopping firewood to cleaning the barn! I definitely have more than one pair of these and keep a couple pair of new ones in the drawer for when they eventually ware out from constant use! Highly recommend these!
I got these for my son for cutting firewood. He wanted a couple more pairs because he liked them so much and we were afraid they would go away or be discontinued. He has a total of 3 pair. Then I bought my husband a pair and then I bought my son's buddy a pair as a thank you for helping to keep us in wood this cold winter. I even like them myself! Thank you!
These are good gloves to work on the farm with. My husband used them to clean fence lines. It says a lot about the gloves because it's hard on them. They didn't rip or anything. The only thing is they are not that warm and you have to be careful around thorns. Over all these gloves are good for the price. You can also adjust the strap around your wrist and that's a plus. I'm not sure if they are waterproof but they seem like they may be. They are windproof and they are ok for cold temperatures but your hands still get cold.
Good material, good inner feel and grip. I've bought several of these pairs, but each pair has had flaws. With each pair, the stitching at the fingertips often tear with little use. One pair, the right hand is smaller at the thumb and is difficult to put on and take off. Another pair, the right hand fit is overall larger than the left hand, and I have to be careful of it falling off. But overall, doable for price.
The workmanship of these gloves varies wildly! I use these gloves for my wheelchair use. i cut the fingers off mid-finger to grip my chair rails. I have a pair that's 4 months old and still usable, then the pair I just received are already unraveling!
